Was a Holiday atmosphere, lots of people in the bar. Service was prompt, very nice and accommodating. Had burgers and they were fresh and served hot. Fries or chips for sides. Had a couple beers and soda. Simple good food on a bar atmosphere. Clean too!!
The Pad is known for its burgers and for good reason. The burgers are big and beefy (1/2 pound) with a soft, fresh baked, bun. My burger was a bit over done, however. They don't ask how you want it cooked, but next time I'll be sure to ask for medium rare anyway, to avoid another medium well one. It's a homemade tasting burger without a hard sear or much seasoning. So, bear that in mind. It did come with nice crispy fries. The appetizer basket of onion rings was big and they tasted great. The cheese curds were also excellent and the portion again was good. The curds stayed hot and melted in your mouth until they were gone. That didn't take too long since we weren't playing. Anyway, get the ranch dipping sauce because it was thick and flavorful. It was Friday so, jeepers, I was "eyeing up" what looked like a big walleye filet going by. That had me twitching like I was still in the boat. That's right, "I got my eye on you, Wally! Next time, you'll be in MY belly..." Come get some.
Fast service, knowledgeable bartender - made great recommendations about the food.
The food itself was fresh, we watched it get dropped in the fryer, but nothing special - maybe its what we ordered. We had wings, fries, onion rings were good, philly steak got cold as we ate everything else, chilli cheese dog was massive and really good.
Lunch atmosphere was great - no loud crouds, no on bugging us.
Our second time visiting Shawano and we decided to try The Pad. The staff and food were amazing! So much so that we went there two nights in a row. We had a larger group of people and they happily accommodated us. Highly recommend!
Flew up to Shawano with friends from Waukesha today. We were on our way to eat at The Pad. First let me tell you the people at the airport were wonderful but I also have to say the people at The Pad were remarkable. We met the owner Dan who was full of great stories of his life and an incredible guy. We had a blast even though I couldn’t drink. And let me tell you the food was awesome. Btw. we had the sassafras burger and boy was it tasty. Friendly staff great people wonderful food. Thanks again Dan for the awesome time.
Fair price for great food. I loved the shaved prime rib sandwich! Service was prompt despite being pretty busy on a friday night. Loved my experience there.
I had the hand breaded walleye. Large fillets w/choice of Fries , hash browns or potato salad. Rye bread and coleslaw. They try to go a notch above the traditional bar food. Very courteous employees.
Ordered takeout yesterday and was as told it would be ready in 25 minutes. Got there 10 minutes early, and called to say I was in the parking lot with my dog in the car and asked if they could give me a 10-second call or peak their head out the front door when the food was ready. They flat out said "No, we are too busy". I paid the same as sit-down customers who are waited on, ask for refills, and need to be cleaned up after, and you can't take 10 seconds to tell me my food is ready? THEN, when I get the bill, THEY CHARGED ME AN EXTRA DOLLAR FOR TAKEOUT!!! Holy cow! For what? A styrofoam container that sit-down customers also consume for leftovers? Last time I'll go there.
The cheese curds were the best and we enjoyed the dirty fries too. The "hot dry rub," choice for the wings is super spicy. Be warned, it's
"mega hot," not normal "hot." We'll be back to try the burgers, and we did notice that they have Guinness on
Best Chicken in the area. Stuffing, corn, bun, mashed and gravy.
Great burgers and sandwiches. Especially the Philly.
The new Mac and Cheese bowls and Ham & Cheese BLT are great additions.
Huge wings. Try the Jamaican Jerk.

Wonderfully long sandy beach with a very gently slope in the water. Even young children can venture out a ways before the water gets deep. Lots of children's playground equipment set up in 2 parts for young children and those a bit older. Gaga ball p
My first time here and it was a very pleasant experience. All the workers were in a good mood and seemed to be enjoying their day. A lot of open space, so while having a very cozy and comfortable feel, it doesn't feel cramped. A lot of beautiful loca

Our first time at this supper club gem. WOW! It was old school supper club with a modern touch. The staff was so kind and friendly and fun. The salad bar was delicious! We had prime rib and their special chicken dish-- loved it! Highly recommend the
