Had a quick one night stay on a very busy Newport weekend. Location was just a short 2 minute walk from the main shops and restaurants, about 5 minute walk to the harbor. The Outlook did not disappoint! Very clean and kept up as you enter the front entrance. I stayed in a room with a king bed, very clean, nicely decorated, and good size room and quiet. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was very clean and shower pressure was great. Breakfast the next day was delish! A full breakfast prepared for the guests plated and served to you! All of the staff was so very pleasant and accommodating. I ate outside on their peaceful rooftop and enjoyed the view. Would definitely recommend this Inn in Newport. I had such a wonderful stay and will definitely go back!
Can’t say enough about the Outlook Inn! ||1) Perfect location - easy walk to everything. We left our car at the included parking spot and walked. But still have in and out privileges if needed.||2) So glad to find a two bedroom suite without having to do an AirBnB. Perfect for traveling with our two tween sons. We each had our own room and bathroom with communal kitchen, TV area, deck and yard. The space was well appointed with everything we needed and spotlessly clean. ||3) Breakfast on the roof was a highlight. We had 3 meals and all delicious and the staff including Serena and Ashley were exceptional. We went up each evening with a glass of wine for the sunset. ||Would not hesitate to stay here again! Thanks for a wonderful stay!
I can not say enough about how wonderful Serena and her staff were to us! We were in Newport for a wedding and rented the entire inn for two nights in July. Our whole family was able to stay in one place and they could not have made it nicer! The rooms were clean and comfortable. The third floor little "bistro" area and spacious roof top deck gave us all a place to hang out together (as well as a place for the early risers to have coffee and enjoy the view of the harbor). Breakfast each day was amazing! We could walk everywhere which, with tight Newport parking, made it super convenient. We had a few things that we needed along the way (extra towels and things like that) and they were right on it. It was the perfect place for us all, everyone was very happy and we would highly recommend the Outlook Inn. We will definitely be back!
The Outlook Inn is a fantastic B&B! I loved the breakfasts (which we enjoyed with a view from the terrace), and Serena was so incredibly sweet and helpful during our stay. The Inn is a quick walk to downtown, and we appreciated the parking spot that came with the room. I’d absolutely recommend staying here in Newport!
We had the absolute best stay in the 2 bedroom suite. With a private entrance and yard space along each bedroom offering its own beautiful bathroom, the layout was so comfortable. From the moment we arrived everyone was so friendly, Serena gave us a warm welcome. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding. Lastly, the location cannot be beat, situated on one of the most dreamiest streets in Newport within a super close walk to every attraction. Highly recommend staying at this gem if you’re visiting Newport!
Absolutely wonderful inn! Star and breakfast were amazing, the room was beautiful and so close to all the action on Thames! The rooms were clean, up to date and so comfortable. Waking up to a fresh made to order breakfast with a different menu each morning was a great start to the day! We can’t wait to come back next year!
Very nicely remodeled, beautiful aesthetics and the attention to details/finishing touches were so nice. After researching and reading I was so excited to stay here. The showers are large with a built in bench, beautiful and a decent sized vanity for personal items is a huge plus. The included daily breakfasts are outstanding, and the staff is so friendly/accommodating. I absolutely loved sitting outside on the deck overlooking the harbor and the pretty manicured grounds. ||We’ve stayed here 2 separate times now. We stayed in room 1 this past time. Definitely on the noisy side at times as Spring street can have traffic, but I knew this going into and they did a nice job making up for it with shades and heavy drapes. I booked this room specifically for the size and storage this room offered- which not all rooms have. Which was wonderful! Aside from that, comfortable bed, fluffy pillows, and central air system. |There are a few things that I noticed over our 2 stays that I want to mention for feedback to the Inn in hopes of rectifying for a consistent, optimal experience for guests. ||No mini fridge in most of the rooms is a huge inconvenience -especially when the ice maker goes down. Going up and down 2 flights of stairs to store items in the Inn’s kitchen isn’t a great solution in my opinion. The shower head in room 1 barely had any water pressure. ||In our first stay, the ceiling AC unit wasn’t (and still isn’t) working in room 3. The window unit was pretty terrible. Loud clicking noises, and the blasting of cold air directly at one side of the bed made sleeping not so comfortable, hot/cold the entire night. |Another thing is the coverings on the windows let light in come morning, which also woke us up. Room 1 has nice room darkening curtains which in my opinion ALL the rooms should have. Room 3 does have a mini fridge and keurig which was a huge plus, but between the AC and light coming in our sleep was disrupted so much I wouldn’t stay in this room again. |I may also be spoiled from other inns we’ve stayed at with valet/or private parking but not a huge fan of the parking situation. There was numerous times the lot had no spaces left and we had to drive around waiting to a space to park while others were doing the same. I know it’s out of the Inn’s control but I think with the other stuff this might be a deal breaker for us to stay here again, unfortunately.
My fiancé and I stayed here to get our engagement photos done while we were in town and we were so impressed! It’s clean, comfortable, beautiful, and the perfect location to walk down to our favorite restaurants on Thames. The breakfast is incredible and they even made me veggie sausage when I said I could not eat the bacon (which is so thoughtful!) We will absolutely stay here again!
