The Other Side - Bar in East Dubuque - 68 Sinsinawa Ave, USA

We were looking for somewhere different to eat and we found it. The person I was with had their special and it looked wonderful but I wanted something lighter like a sandwich. I ordered the Philly steak cheese and it was probably one of the worst sandwiches I have ever eaten. Take that from a fat guy. There was hardly any peppers if any and there was no onions that I could see. They didn’t have the right size buns so they served it two small buns. lots of meat, but no flavor and they use baked cheese right out of a plastic envelope. Stick with a special don’t eat their sandwiches that I know of. I’ll never go back and we told plenty of friends that how bad it was. The bartender was super nice, but their food took at least 20 to 25 minutes just to get a sandwich and nobody else was in there. Boo.

This is a case of don't judge a book by its cover. Most small bars are known just for the drinks and cheap beer, but this place was awesome. Buffalo cauliflower bites were amazing, pizza was excellent, wings were bomb, and fries were cooked perfectly.

This review is based strictly on the takeout pizza. The pizza was ordered by phone and was ready on time. The pizza was mediocre at best and basically filled the void in our belly, as we couldn't find anywhere else open in the Dubuque area.

Stopped in for late night drinks…beers were cheap and the service was good! Lots of darts and a few pool tables.

The owner had been a close friend for many years and no matter how hard the city of East Dubuque tries to Bushwhack him he just keeps reinventing the place and making it a go to destination. Come for the slots but you'll be back for the food and a side of Mikey Meyer.

Mile and the OTHERSIDE staff do an amazing job. Great atmosphere and one helluva menu selection. Home cookin’ at its best. Darts, pool, slots, and more. A community staple for East Dubuque. Mike does a great job at supporting and hosting community events.
