The Olympia Lodge - Lodge in Pacific Grove - 1140 Lighthouse Ave, USA

Stayed for one night and was good value for money. Rooms dated but good size. Could have been noisy if you have noisy guests but we did not. (We heard them in the morning but just just ordinary noise which was fine- guess just poorly insulated but could be an issue if you are unlucky) we enjoyed our stay here. Really enjoyed breakfast. It was a very nice croissant, Parmenter pastry, cheese and juice box. This was takeaway style in box which was great and suited us. Staff very friendly. Recommend for budget stay in great location. Do not let poor reviews put you off. I am glad we stayed here. Excellent value.

I'm seriously in love with this little place. As other reviews have mentioned the hotel is a little dated and simple but it is so homey and comfortable that I really don't mind. And the location is perfect, outside the busy traffic areas, and a short walk to the lighthouse, and beach. I'm from AZ so sitting out on the porch in this gorgeous weather, watching the deer and listening to sea guls is heavenly. Would definitely come again.

Rooms are very outdated and could use a good cleaning. Bath towels had stains and bathroom was semi-clean. There is a strong mildew/bleach smell from the room...maybe because it's a few blocks away from the beach, and that's normal? Bed linens did have a strong bleach smell though. Service from the check-in desk could've used some enthusiasm. Location was great due to walking distance to the beach, and a 10 minute drive to Monterey Bay Aquarium. Would I stay there again given the great location? No. I would rather stay elsewhere in the area and be comfortable all around. It's that old saying, you get what you pay for.

A nice spot, with an ocean breeze. Close to Pebble Beach and the ocean. It's a quiet place with good amenities. We enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable. We liked how close we were to Cannery Row and the attractions there. It was a peaceful and quiet place.

The toilet didn’t even flush and it smelt a bit weird and there were holes in the bedding. They also ran out of parking spaces very quickly and had to park on the road. It was okay for the night but wouldn’t stay again. It was nice a warm though lots of covers.

The rooms were very dusty and moldy. Tough smell coming from room also watch coffee pots for mold because old filters were left in pots. Lastly the front desk attendant was very rude. I’m not kidding very rude and lied to management about moldy coffee. I would not recommend. Cheaper cleaner places are right next to this place…Where attendants don’t lie.

The room was fine but so so so loud. The bar next door played obscenely bad loud live music and the room was an echo chamber of neighbors’ conversations, car alarms and that AWFUL music from next door. The room was basic but adequate but I would avoid because it is just not relaxing and quiet in the least. Close to beautiful beaches and restaurants but I’d find a quieter spot next trip.

DO NOT STAY HERE. We had a two-night reservation and had a last minute family emergency. We tried cancel over 24 hours before our scheduled check in, but since it wasn't 72 hours, they denied even a partial refund. They refused to budge even an inch to accomodate a family emergency, despite our obvious distress. Given that this is high season in the area and the would very likely be able to re-book the room, probably even at a higher last-minute rate to someone else, it seemed very inappropriate to refuse to work with a distressed family. If you value kindness, please book your stay elsewhere.
