This place has been absolutely great for me and my family, my kids love the water as does my wife. The staff is really nice and helpful, the owner is also always around to help out and make sure everyone is well taken care of. He has helped us so much and gone out of his way to make sure we are comfortable and have everything we need. I highly recommend this place to everyone who is looking for a family oriented environment and positive great people! 👍
Super clean, new floors in the room, nice and quiet, with a great, relaxing setting on the lake. Also, Jason the manager went out of his way to make sure my stay was perfect. Highly recommend!!
I got caught in the middle of a terrible thunderstorm with my six year old son and found this hidden gem. Regardless of the fact that it was late Jason, the manager was extremely polite and helpful. I could not believe the room rate for the location, quality of the room, cleanliness, and the fact that you’re literally lake living. Magical doesn’t even describe it properly because this place was otherworldly. They have a little Sandy Beach where the children can play along with paddle boats and kayaks available for use for free. We can’t wait to come back. My son woke up, walked out the back door onto the deck and caught a fish first thing in the morning in pajamas ! This place is an incredible and unique experience. You will definitely have to give a try. Thanks again for all the hospitality, Jason and Walid
DIAMOND IN THE ROUGH We had a professional/smooth/ comfortable experience. Loved the stovetop/sink and patio outback. Clean/Affordable and laid back located close to everything you want or possibly need (Gas, food, grocery store, dollar store, auto shop etc..) 11 minutes from Pine Knob. The downtown is cute with a variety of places to eat. If the weather permits, they have a pond outback with equipment to fish, swim and ride little boats (at your own risk). The freezer in the mini freezer REALLY FREEZES!! I enjoyed socializing and sharing laughter with the guest outback. When in the area, I will ONLY stay here.
From reservation to check-out nothing but professional service. Room Clean, everything you need (stove top/microwave / refrigerator and freezer that really freezes) peaceful back porch with a pond, guest social and kind, bed really soft. Coffee maker. Price very affordable, near all kinds of restaurants/grocery stores/gas stations/dollar store. |I WILL BE STAYING AGAIN, THANKS.
Didn't love this spot. Large shared patio on the back allows for folks to be right outside your room front and back. The beds were smaller than normal as my feet hung off the bed even though I'm only 5'10". Not many options in the area but you can probably find a better spot. Yes I picked the room, doesn't excuse the quality of the beds and bedding which were sub par and attributed to a poor nights sleep.
This is a very cool place to stay. The room was lodge-like, and it exited to a porch overlooking a clean lake. Clean room, fluffy towels, comfortable bed. There is a stove range, microwave, mini fridge, and sink in the kitchen area. I had a minor problem with the back door lock and called the desk. There was someone at my door to fix it in literally 90 seconds.
I made a reservation weeks in advanced to stay this hotel. When looking online for a hotel I was drawn to the old mill inn due to the lovely pictures of lake views and advertising having coffee in the morning on a deck over looking the water. The rooms looked lovely. However, I feel it was false advertising. When we showed up, it was NOTHING like the photos. There was no lake view. The room was cramped and had an awful smell. The man checking us in wasn’t friendly in the least, and honestly made us feel unwelcome. We were honestly so disgusted with the experience that we left 5 mins after checking in. I contacted the hotel in regard to my experience, and they told me they couldn’t do anything about it. It does feel a little like robbery due to the terrible experience, and the fact I was charged $106 for a 5 min experience. They put the blame on me for not contacting them the day of. They could clearly see the key was dropped into the return box within mins of checking in. We didn’t contact them that day due to being in a hurry to find a new hotel before our concert started. We just got engaged, trying to make sure we had an enjoyable evening was the priority in that moment. On top of the fact that we felt unwelcome. It felt as though a lesbian couple shouldn’t be staying there and instead of apologizing and owning up to the website’s deception, they put the blame on the customer. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Great outdoor patio for dining under the sun or shade if you prefer an umbrella. There are many options for breakfast and lunch. The service was good, we had one main waitress but it seemed like a good team effort. Different waitresses came around to
The type of place we should all make an effort to support, wonderful staff and incredible pasties. Every bit as good as you will find in the UP. Really look forward to coming back for more. Get a hot one and fill your freezer too!

Powerhouse gym has a good variety of workout equipment and machines and lots of it. I go to this gym for both strength training and cardio. Nicely laid out, clean, and friendly staff. Definitely a good value for the money.

Rotten Manor is absolutely the best time attraction I've been too. And I've been to several. Most of the haunted houses are buildings that had been converted to haunted houses. The main attraction... Rotten Manor was built as a haunted house from the
