My wife & I can’t say enough about how wonderful the Old Mill Inn is. This is the second time we’ve stayed for a week. The location is so beautiful, peaceful & inviting. We even found a pizza place within a 100 yards & Mexican restaurant 1 mile away. The downstairs cafe is so warm & cozy we had friends come over just to visit. It contained all breakfast essentials. Lattes, awesome bakery and more substantial things to get your morning going. The staff & especially Deb, the owner, are the nicest people you’ll ever meet.
Really nice venue abutting a waterfall on the Mill River. The porch and patio are perfect for sipping a glass of wine while enjoying the falls. Our room was quiet, nicely appointed, comfortably sized, newly renovated, and spotless! We have relatives in Hatfield and know that this is a very safe community. Easy access to I-91 and just a few minutes from Northampton. Staff is very welcoming, breakfast baked goods and bagel sandwiches are excellent, coffee is great!
AUG 2024 ~ Peaceful overnight summer solo stay. This old mill has been beautifully restored into a comfortable modern gem inside and out. The Holyoke Room (#7) was spacious and bright with four large windows, and the waterfall just around the corner alongside the property provided perfect "white noise" for a sound sleep. Deb at the front desk was very friendly and directed me to catch the sunset and fabulous farm fresh ice cream at nearby Flayvors at Cook Farm. I wasn't able to stay for breakfast, but the cafe is lovely with plenty of variety for coffee lovers. Easy "key drop" check-out. Would happily return!
What a cool building! A renovated historic mill, sleekly designed for comfort and modernity while showcasing the best of its historic features. ||Staff are friendly, rooms are clean, bedding is fresh and comfortable, and a tasty breakfast can be purchased in the roomy cafe downstairs. ||The quiet, rural setting belies the fact that you're so near to Northampton. A much nicer option than any we found in that city. ||The best feature, however, is undoubtedly the mill's waterfall. We booked a room overlooking it: |best white noise ever! |Keep your windows open and enjoy the clean, country air.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the charming Old Mill Inn! It felt comfortable, cozy, and so peaceful in the Waterfall room. Deb and the team were all amazing and made it feel like “home away from home” I highly recommend taking time (weather permitting) to walk around historic Hatfield and the dike along the Connecticut River while enjoying the Old Mill Tavern restaurant in your free time. (Just as a few suggestions) We will definitely be back!
This was one of the most unique inns I've ever stayed in. The way they renovated the old mill with a rustic industrial design was inspired and creative. The service was outstanding and attentive. The food in the cafe was absolutely delicious, and the rustic industrial design was carried into the cafe as well. Loved hearing the sound of the river. Be prepared - there is no air conditioning. Correction: I learned after I posted this that there IS AC in each room. I must have misunderstood.
Williamsburg suite was amazing with a private entrance from the patio. It directly overlooks the falls and it is loud (which we loved). The suite was immaculate and they might have gone overboard with the kitchen. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast cafe is cozy. ||We would definitely come back and recommend you stay there.
Lovely inn in Hatfield MA, quaint, situated right next to a waterfall. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and surprisingly "modern". There's not a ton to do in Hatfield, but it was a less-than-10-minute drive to Northampton. We would definitely stay here again.
