Birthday trip. Booked a trip for my birthday but we did not end up staying. Had called before booking and the person on the line who i believe is the owner was helpful. I had mentioned it was my birthday trip and i wanted to request an early check in and see about a few other details. the person reassured me it would be no issue. they said by 2 room would ready and they would make the trip feel special. when we arrived the gate was locked and we knocked for a bit before a guest eventually ended up opening the door. once inside we realized the spa had no staff. we tried to call to see about checking in and the same person from before answered. this time short and quick to place blame saying they would never promise early check in. when we mentioned the birthday and the bungalow we booked he was immediately apologetic realizing the mistake. the owner said room was not ready and we should come back at 4 for regular check in. no biggie. we decided we can grab food and come back. at 4 we get a call from the owner we the owner saying the room will not be ready until maybe 7. not sure how we went from “no worries come early and we will make your birthday feel special” to “actually i wont have it until maybe 7.” seems like one man is doing everything. definitely understaffed. possibly overbooked. will mention the owner did offer another night but our group had come from out of town for the occasion.

This place is absolutely gorgeous. The vibe is absolutely phenomenal. One of the most beautiful seductive private hotel I have ever been to. It was literally breathtaking. It was a staycation for me and my boyfriend, and to say the least we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the vibe and atmosphere were absolutely impeccable. I highly recommend checking this place out. The spot just beautifully put together completely serene and just impeccably decorated. I can’t say enough good things about it.

If you’re in the Palm Springs area and are searching for a nice private getaway the O Spa is the spot. Multiple heated pools and private mineral spas to soothe the body and relax the mind. They have a nice intimate setting and cozy rooms. Our room had a classic record player with a good variety of music genres. I noticed there weren’t any children running around screaming. Also, my apologies to the people whose room I accidentally walked into.

Really enjoyed this place, we came over the Holiday and decided to book again the following Sat... clean rooms, comfy and relaxing chill kinda night vibes by the pool... looking to book again in a few weeks, our new favorite place to stay when in Palm Desert

We had a great time at the o spa, everything was clean and room was ready for us. The pools were warm and clean. Very relaxing stay. Housekeeper Ana really went above and beyond.

UPDATE: refuses to give refund or answer any of our calls. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. And read for safety. This is a complete catfish. The rooms are tiny, furniture is falling apart, there was b lood on the sheets and stains on the wall. Needless to say it leaves little to be desired in terms of cleanliness or anything else. Towels all have brown stains. Comforter had what looked like a b lood stain. Showers have a window without curtains or blinds so strangers can completely see through the window when you shower. No room service, no drinks (not even water!!). There’s not even a phone in the room to call the front desk if you need something. And the number they leave for “management” is unreachable. We tried calling a dozen times about the room and they never answered or called us back. Room code doesn’t work. Rooms have issues locking. Also it’s located in an area that has an 85% higher crime rate than the national average - despite how it’s advertised as a nice hotel in Palm Springs. We ended up leaving and booking a new hotel. Just spend the extra $$$ and go somewhere else. Or stay home if nothing is available.

It was a wonderful experience at the O Spa resort. We had a timely check-in, the rooms were stunning and my partner and I couldn’t get enough of the warm mineral pools. Housekeeper Anna was a fantastic help for us. She was very nice and wasn’t rushy. She was very professional with detailing the rooms and even gave us extra time to check out.

A Now Open Letter to Rick Rabuck, Owner of The O Spa since you did not have the decency to respond to my email: Hi Rick, I need to follow up about what happened last Sunday evening. It was a difficult situation that I can empathize with [some of the cleaning crew called out so rooms were not ready by 3pm check-in] but the way you handled it was the most disappointing part. I did appreciate the early call that day and the offer for the late check out. That part was handled well.  However, your communication once we arrived left much to be desired. I saw other guests arriving confused and also not knowing what was going on. You were not providing any updates to anyone or coming out of your home to speak with guests. That's all you really had to do was show some hospitality and be available. I called you and you could not provide any updates and did not call me back. We waited around as best we could. We could not go in the pools because we were not offered any towels. It was windy and cold so we tried to start one of the fire rings and a heat lamp but they did not work. We then sat in the lounge but it was dark in there and we could not get most of the lights to work. There was also no toilet paper in the lounge restroom. We were as patient as we could be and even though you did not make yourself available to assist anyone, you were still quite upset about us wanting to at least put some stuff in the room and maybe sit in the living room. You offered us the option for a refund which we eventually took after 630pm having still not received any updates or a timeline of how much longer it would take. As we left we noticed the main door handle was hanging off and the door was ajar. Not safe or secure! It was only after I told you we were leaving and you were going to lose the booking that you suddenly called and had an update for me. It was too late by then. You need to put your customers first, not their money. Again, what I want to emphasize is that a little more effort, accessibility, and communication on your part would have made this situation so much better. To top it off, you did not respond to this now pubic email or issue me a refund so I had to file a dispute with my credit card company. Real classy Rick. Do everyone a favor and get out of the hospitality business. Sincerely, Brett
