Very welcoming place for newcomers. Best to come on Tues live jam. Only issue is that it's a little unfair because I don't drink alcohol and a diet Coke for $3 for about 4-6 ounces is ridiculous. I went to the 3 Flames and for $3 I got a full 16 oz glass.
I’ve been going to the Blue Note for a very long time and it’s always been a great place for me to have a drink and meet new people and the service is amazing never a dull moment in the Blue Note
I have been at the note a half dozen times. Starting last year. NOW IT HAS DEFINITELY GONE HILL. My son was in town, he wanted to go a laid-back place to have a drink. We sat at the bar woman were coming up to my son to talk. The old regular did not like it. Tried to start a fight with me son. The owner daughter sat at the other end bar and did nothing, nor did security. I returned a month later thinking it was one time thing. Once again same guy is in there doing the same thing. I ask the bar tender why the allow back in there bar? ...BECAUSE HE SPENDS LOTS OF MONEY.
It a cool little old fashioned dive bar. Strong drinks, mixed older clientele, awesome jukebox. Friendliness abounds. Ms.Cherrie is the bartender on Weekends. Jazz on Sunday's Cute spot to drink.
Came here on a whim on a Tuesday because I’ve been wanting to do an open mic for some time. It was my first time ever performing in front of anyone and I swear these people are the nicest group I’ve ever been associated with. The bartender was so nice and friendly the band was so accommodating and understanding and also sounded so good playing with me to a song they’ve never even heard!! Thanks so much to the Note and I’ll be back hopefully for every open mic! <3
Wandering around Milpitas on a Monday night, no food, no beer. Found the Note, quiet (it was Monday), but friendly, laid back traditional bar atmosphere. Very cool.
Read the reviews so decided to walk 2 miles from the hotel to check this place out. What a mistake. No live music and the place was dead. However they wanted to charge us a $40 cover just to get in and listen to 70s soul off the jukebox. Place had maybe 2 patrons other than who I assume were employees. Maybe I’m missing something here but never heard of a cover to get into a dive bar and listen to a jukebox.
Or maybe they were just charging us that to keep us from going in because we didn’t look like we fit their normal demographic. Either way was treated pretty poorly imho.
This is one of the best places to come for a drink and good time. It very laid back. Good music and good people. Every time I come to town, I stop in . One thing I like is it a mixed crowd, and everyone is friendly.
