What a great fly shop! The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about fishing and rivers, taking time to answer questions and explain river conditions. The retail shop is fantastic, I can always find unique gifts every time I go and they also have a great fly selection. And I highly recommend you have Colin take you on a guided trip! Will keep going back again and again. Give some love to this locally owned shop in Salida next time you’re in town!
We have visited the Next Eddy multiple times on our visits to Salida. Love the store and the staff. We got to do some family fly fishing over the holiday weekend. The owners were extremely helpful with gear and fly recommendations, as well as tips on great spots to fish. Next time we will be booking their guided trip! The ATV/Razor experience sounds awesome. Thanks guys
I always love stopping in at the Next Eddy anytime i’m cruising thru Salida. Great selection of flies & great advice on what is working. Also like the polarized Suncloud sunglasses…. i go thru 2 pair/year.
The Next Eddy is truly the best Fly Fishing shop in Salida. Their shop is very well stocked and everyone is so helpful. I have fished with them a couple of times and it was awesome. If you want the Colorado Fly Fishing experience I would highly recommend them.
If you're looking for great fly fishing experience in Salida, look no further than The Next Eddy. My wife and I booked a guided tour with Sam and it was nothing short of spectacular. The Arkansas River is raging so it made for some tough conditions to fish, however Sam was soo patient with us and navigated multiple spots for us to maximize our experience. Sam is also a wealth of knowledge around fishing and all things Salida. This review doesn't even begin to showcase how great Sam and the entire Next Eddy team are. My wife and I will definitely be back fly fishing with them and would recommend them to anyone looking for a great time!
Not POC friendly!!! Stopped in here this weekend to look for some terrestrial flies and was completely ignored by the young woman behind the counter...We get that there is a certain inherent blanch racism to CO but pay attention Salida, this is not good for your business!
I highly recommend using The Next Eddy if you’re interested in a guide trip, or for any fly supplies needs.
Chris was my guide. He was friendly, a great communicator, and most importantly, really listened to me. I told him that I wasn’t worried about catching a ton of fish, but rather wanted to work on technique. He was fantastic, and a really interesting guy.
I also appreciated how up front The Next Eddy was leading up to the trip; they were open and honest about the conditions not being great this time of year. I knew that going in, but appreciated the disclaimer. I could see other shops being more concerned with just getting the sale.
10/10 would use them again.
I highly recommend The Next Eddy for booking guides. I booked a 1/2 day trip for my family. My wife and two teenagers had zero fly fishing experience and they had a great time all three caught fish. Colin and Liam were great instructors and very positive. We went to a nice easily wadable place with plenty of room casting. All three want to go again!
Wonderful coffee shop! We stopped in with our 2 kids on the way from crested butte to Denver. They kindly made the kids grilled cheeses (off menu!). Coffee was excellent, and a nice selection of books and toys.
A true skate shop, from the moment I walked in I knew I was at the right store. Knowledgeable staff you can't go wrong buying your gear here. I love that you have roller skates and support the local movement

The entire staff is fun and super helpful. Also, if thereâs a shoe you want thatâs not carried, Andrew will order it for you to try on! Excellent range of trail running shoes and fuel - ultra runners work here to give you great advice about shoes
I'm from Missouri and wanted to get a tattoo while I was up there for the week! He got me in that weekend! Absolutely love what he came up with. Gave him vage details on what I wanted and he definitely exceeded my expectations! See ya next year for a
Much better than going to a coffee shop right in down town. Thereâs lots of space to sit and chill or do some work if you need. We were passing through waiting for our truck to be fixed and this was the perfect spot! They are quick and the coffees
Their food truck passed through grand junction, was absolutely amazing. We got the tenders and the Philly, both fantastic. The tenders had the perfect skin, was amazing with bbq sauce. The Philly was HUGE, had to use fork n knife and was delicious. W
Wonderful house! The views are amazing and inspiring. It is just what you want in a vacation home. Close to many great places to hike or just take a drive. We visited just as the aspens turned and it was breathtaking. The hot tub was a wonderful addi
Best Sandwiches in Salida. The huge selection of sandwiches doesn't stop them from perfecting each.
You can split a sandwich and theyâll wrap each half with itâs own pickle on the side.
We absolutely loved our stay here. The cabins are beautiful, clean, and smelled good. The bed was so huge and comfy, loved the private hot tub and community area outside the cabin too. It was a perfect romantic getaway for our anniversary. Cannot rec
This is one of my favorite breakfast/brunch places in town. They have delicious waffles and coffee, and I always love to come with friends. The staff are very friendly and it has a cool modern vibe, with fun, tasty twists on typical brunch meals. Wou
