The Newberry Museum - Local history museum in Newberry - 1300 Friend St, USA

A small but First class museum of county history. Some real interesting artifacts and friendly people proud of their heritage. A very nice town also.

This is a very informative museum about the city and county of Newberry. I found the displays to be very interesting. I was limited with time so I plan on returning to finish exploring.

Another great small town museum in South Carolina. Free parking and admission, detailed exhibits telling local stories and the town is charming.

My family and I took the long drive to Newberry in search of a Juneteenth festival that was worth our gas and time. After spending some time walking around, we came across the Newberry Museum. What started off as a way to get some A.C., turned into this wonderful learning experience about the local area and wedding attire! They were fortunate to be displaying a wedding dress collection filled with many amazing finds. It was the best part of the afternoon. I learned so much and my teenage boys even took their time looming through in amazement.

The museum hours were different than what was on the QR Code message. Either way I was there before both times. Unfortunately, the museum was closed. Looking through the window I seen there were lots of bridal gowns. I'm looking forward to coming 1 day when the QR code message hours, on door hours and they're actually open matches up.

Outstanding. The tour guide for the 10th grade US History class was very thorough and very informative. The tour guide for the 6th grade Social Studies class did a great job with the scavenger hunt. Highly recommended to visit.

Love our small town museum

I was lucky to get a sneak peek at this new museum and I have to say it's a beautiful historical building that has receiving a tasteful conversion to a museum. The architecture of the original building is not affected in a negative way by the changes at all. Can't wait to see the finished facility.
