THE NATIVE SUN AUGUST 1984-2022 I had the great pleasure of being born into these waters. The pool and the ocean were where I learned to swim. I was baptized right down the road at the place where my Mom and Dad were married. Our family didn't always have the most money to spend, so this was the best place. It's a safe place for families, and has nice grocery stores right down the road should one like to buy groceries and cook in the kitchen or on the grills located outside. There are also nice piers nearby within walking distance. Free trolley will take you around the loop should you like to see the public beaches. There are also fun rentals nearby should you like to boat, surf, or play other FUN ocean games. It is still currently located on a private ocean. They had to undergo a 40-year review recently and passed the test with multiple updates. SAFTEY NOTES: AGAIN FOR EMPHASIS: It's a private ocean. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY. One of my Uncles was 2nd place runner-up for Firefighter of the year for his excellent display of bravery and courage off-duty to save a drowning man who was trying to save his little girl. I was very fortunate to have been trained by him. If you're unsure of the ocean (and especially with children in tow), it's highly recommended to not go out too far and never past the buoys. The ocean will always win in a treading contest. She will take you under. NOT PICTURED: Family. Because I don't like to post pictures of children.
Our kitchen and appliances were new. The room was “freshened up” a few times during the week with new towels, trash taken out, etc. The king size bed was comfortable. Beach chairs were available for use, which was great since we flew there. The view from the balcony was great!!
Beautiful, spacious apartments overlooking ocean. Superb double balconies, tennis, shuffleboard, mini golf, pool and jacuzzi. Home from home atmosphere. Stunning
Our family has been coming to Native Sun since 1982. This is a jewel that has been under appreciated for many years. There ie so much to like at Native Sun. Here is on overview of all of the features at The Native Sun:|1. $3.2 million update in 2021 that replaced all of the balconies at Native Sun. It looks beautiful today and gets a 10 star rating from me on the exterior. The place looks fabulous 2. Large Oversized 22' private balconies. 3. Two outdoor bbq grills that are cleaned daily. 4. A large swimming pool that is cleaned daily. 5. Two shuffleboard courts. 6. Putting Green. 7. Tennis & pickle board court. 8. All 35 units have ocean views with 8 ocean front units. 9. Free parking 10. Free Wifi. 11. Secured entry to the suites. 12. Beach access is 100 feet from your room. 13. All units have hurricane sliding glass doors to the balcony. 14. Competitively priced for a week. 15. No resort fees.||There are inside items to need to be renovated. But, having said that, all rooms have a complete kitchens, 2 tv's, 1-2 bathrooms, and sleep anywhere from 2-6 people in a unit. We are always pleased to be at The Native Sun.|
Right on the beach. They provide lawn chairs to drag closer to the water. Calm and clear ocean. Great for swimming. Good parking on site. Safe and secure. Lots of families with children enjoying themselves. Mattress needs to be replaced and had a few other maintenance issues to be addressed. Management informed. Quiet nights.
Very comfortable condo with fantastic ocean views and nice amenities. Well stocked kitchen items. Separate Bedroom with king bed. Huge double balconies. Nice pool and beach areas with lounge chairs. Laundry available. Pool towels supplied. Couldn't ask for a better vacation!
Great place to be with family. Like the more boutique feel more Than high rise hotels
Tried to get reviews of this place before I booked and before we arrived, but could not find anything except for folks saying it was very clean. We were in unit 304 the view and the balcony and location was great. The furniture in the living room was just nasty. The white cloth chair had spots and nasty stains all over it. The couch was old and just not clean. The brown chair was suede and had white crusty stains all over it. This was the holiday week and everything was booked. We had to put sheets over the furniture so we could sit down. The brown suede chair was so nasty we would have NEVER sat in it. We just couldn't get over the fact that we had booked an extraordinarily nasty condo with RCI using 23 points. I rent condo's in Hawaii for 23 points that are NOTHING like this. We were just sick that we had to stay in a place like this. The bed was old, but ok to sleep in. one bathroom was remodeled and ok. The other bathroom was old and we didn't use it. The kitchen was well stocked just very old. The chairs for the dining room were plastic so they could be disinfected and ok to sit in. The staff was aware of the rundown condition including the nasty furniture, but they just work there. They can't do anything about the condition of this place. STAY AWAY.

As a very big fan of good Italian food (talking about Italian food in Italy) I can say, one of the few restaurants impressed me outside Italy. Very good food. Even in Italy you donât find the choice of food so easy, they serve here. Feels like I am
This quaint place was quite a pleasure! In general, it was an older crowd, which led to a very quiet environment. The pool area was a great place to relax after a day on the beach. All of the staff were exceptionally pleasant and accommodating. The k
It is a great beach with a local vibe. It is not very crowded or touristy. There is limited parking which is a plus when you are looking to avoid crowds. It is clean and well maintained.
Shop has plenty to look at , great for beach Go'ers. Owner is super Curtious and helpful! Very nice trinkets for those stopping through town. Got some nice Keychains for the wife and kid!
Very old resort, but very clean. Furnishings were good. Location is great. Many restaurants within walking distance. Caters to an older crowd, which was great for us. We will return to this resort in the future.
Tides Inn was, without a doubt, the best place I have ever stayed in all my trips to Florida in my 62 years. I was amazed at how beautifully kept this property was. It was absolutely pristine! My room was perfect. The mattress on the beds were like s
Everything about this experience was exceptional. Our server Sergio kept our drinks and bellyâs full the entire time. He brought out different small plates to try and each one was absolutely delicious. He was very personable and great at his job.

What a great spot in Lauderdale by the Sea for breakfast. Very cozy spot with amazing service and food. I ordered 2 pancakes and totally loved my pancakes, so fluffy and tasty. My partner ordered the 2 French Toast and enjoyed the platter also. T
If you want to experience a true taste of the Northshore and its classic "roast beef sandwich" THIS IS YOUR SPOT. I'm from a small coastal town in New England just a couple towns away from the owners of this shop. Trust me it won't disappoint. Roast
