The world museum is a little bit too much, it is more an exhibition. Nevertheless it is a cool relaxing environment with some cool recordings of the 40s and a couple pieces. Furthermore they make sessions of jazz and events so, as it is free (but for the optional tip), I would recommend it.

A treasure in Harlem that should be on everyone’s list of places to visit! I saw Corinne Bailey Rae perform songs from her new album there recently. It was amazing!

A small gem of history where it all started. Super pleasant staff, few but cool permanent displays and new views every month. Worth your visit, 30 minutes will do it.

Iconic place for jazz fans live myself. Free admission (accept donations), one floor venue with brief history of NYC jazz. They play live music, check their calander. I went of a 2 pm set which was an escape from my daily routine. I would suggest the management to extend the opening hours little more to give flexibility for people to attend.

I went on a Friday evening for opening night if a resident artist (Tyson Hall) and the works were absolutely divine. The energy was so good and the people were great. I wish I took more pictures to show you guys.

I got a history of jazz and its origins. Chicago, New Orleans, Detroit, Memphis, and Puerto Rico. The information they had on the popular jazz clubs and the musicians who played them. The Cotton Club, The Savoy Ballroom, and The Radium Club. From Duke Ellington, Count Bassy, Miles Davis, Dizzy Gillespie, and Stanley Clark. I would highly recommend this stop when visiting Harlem.😎

Love this place! It's rather small but they have some really amazing pieces in the collection. There's sometimes live music which is another Plus. If you are jazz fan, a museum fan, or even just happened to be in the neighborhood I definitely recommend checking this out.

Small and packs a punch ... It's history that must not be forgotten. Make the trip. Make a donation. I'm not a musician, and it was very worth it.

View the paintings from afar, and you will feel like you are right there in the mountains with the artist. Amazing views, vibrant color, a nice collection worth visiting. And the entrance is free. A few blocks from Columbia University.
