Amazing food with amazing people! They do great at handling large crowds and getting you in and out during busy times. Missy was the best server! You won’t be disappointed if you make this part of your trip! Enjoy!
This is breakfast diner food at its finest. It’s simple, it’s tasty and it’s served with a smile! Try the pancakes or the country fried steak AND be sure to have a biscuit or two! They are golden, fluffy, and delicious. You don’t need to add butter or gravy (country or sausage gravy is available), but you’ll want to!
Love it!! Today was our first time eating here and it was great! Fresh food and very yummy. Our waitress was so awesome 🤩 I would totally recommend. I can’t wait to go back and try the lunch menu.
Delish breakfast items!! Thisv place seems to always stay full, so prepare for a wait. It's worth it though. The inside is smaller. The restaurant is clean. Service was great! Did came out quickly and everything was correct Definitely a place to try!!
The omelet I had was good, nothing extraordinary. The biscuit and gravy was also good. The French I can not recommend, granted they were cold before we got around to trying them so they may of been better when they first came out. If you are close by its a good spot to try.
When it comes to culinary treasures, sometimes the most exceptional experiences are not always hidden away in obscure corners, but right out in the open, waiting to be discovered. This is the case with The Nashville Biscuit House, an unassuming gem nestled in East Nashville, TN. The moment you lay eyes on the weathered signage and slightly dilapidated exterior, you might second-guess your breakfast choice. But don't be quick to judge a book by its cover. In the world of culinary delight, it's often the unexpected places that offer the most delightful surprises. The faded and sun-worn street-front sign or the worn-out facade are mere distractions from the gastronomic delights that await inside. A glance around the entrance will reveal eager patrons lining up outside, some waiting on the curb, while others sit in their cars. This is a testament to the food's reputation—people are willing to endure a wait just to savor the breakfast here. As you step through the front doors, you're greeted with a warm and friendly smile from the greeter, who efficiently guides you to an iPad for a quick registration. You'll provide your name and cell number, which is used to alert you when your table is ready. The beauty of this system is that it allows you to wait in your car or even head back home if you're a local. In our experience, the estimated 45-minute wait was surprisingly accurate, and the prospect of a delicious meal kept us patient. The restaurant's waitstaff is the epitome of hospitality, embodying the friendly spirit of Southern service. Their attentive and kind demeanor sets the stage for a delightful dining experience. When it comes to the menu, The Nashville Biscuit House doesn't disappoint. Like any true food enthusiasts, we decided to share several dishes to savor a variety of flavors. Our selections included the Lumber Jack, which comes with your choice of two pancakes or French toast, three eggs, bacon and sausage, home fries or grits, and toast or biscuit. We opted for the fluffy pancakes adorned with succulent blueberries, ham, and their signature biscuit. To complement this hearty meal, we couldn't resist ordering a side of biscuit and gravy. Their motto, "Good Country Style Cooking," isn't just a catchphrase; it's a promise they fulfill with every plate. The restaurant boldly claims to be the "Best Breakfast in Nashville," and they back it up with flavors that resonate with the soul. Depending on your location in the city, opting for an Uber or Lyft ride might be the most convenient choice. East Nashville can get quite busy, and parking spaces are limited. Surprisingly, the cost of a rideshare is often less than what you'd spend on parking, not to mention the hassle you'd save. The restaurant does offer a drive-thru, although we can't be certain of its functionality for breakfast service. However, given the mouthwatering options available inside, we'd recommend dining in for the full experience. Perhaps the drive-thru comes into its own for their lunch menu. What truly sets The Nashville Biscuit House apart is the global recognition it has received. Near the cash register, you'll spot a map adorned with pins representing patrons who have journeyed from around the world to indulge in their delectable offerings. It's clear from the restaurant's signage, website, and the attitude of its staff that they understand it's their customers who keep them in business, and they wholeheartedly respect and appreciate this fact. Now, before you plan your visit to The Nashville Biscuit House, don't forget to check their website for essential information, including hours of operation, as this charming breakfast spot is a local treasure that you won't want to miss. Whether you're a local or a traveler passing through Nashville, your taste buds deserve to experience the culinary delight that awaits at this unassuming yet remarkable breakfast haven in East Nashville. #LifeAfterAdulting #NashvilleBiscuitHouse #EastNashville
It was a nice place to have a quick breakfast. Tasty food and very friendly service.
They say that the best restaurants you will find are the little hole-in-the-wall places off the beaten path. That depiction holds true with the Nashville Biscuit House. While not very appealing from the outside, it makes up for it on the inside with satisfying comfort food and down-home southern hospitality. I was greeted at the door with a smiling face and a genuine “good morning”. After a glance at the menu, I went with the Nashvillian with grits and a side of sausage gravy. The grits were the perfect consistency and the eggs were slightly scorched but pretty close to being perfect. The biscuit was fluffy and buttery. This was not some fru fru, yuppie breakfast. It was just homestyle southern cooking at its best. I can’t say enough about the wait staff. They were all super friendly and genuine, striking up conversations with every table they waited on. While I did have my on server, I felt like there was no specific person just for me. They all worked in tandem checking on people, whether it was their table or not which made for efficient service and happy guests. The prices were better than expected and one of the cheapest non fast food meals I’ve around Nashville. For what I got it was $9.83 plus tip. That’s hard to find nowadays. I would recommend getting there early to beat the crowds. I arrived around 7:30 am and it wasn’t busy but by the time I left a little after 8, the place was pretty much full. Parking is limited. When full, you may have to find a place somewhere close by but be sure not to park in any tow-away zones. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and this won’t be the last time I visit this little gem.
