Excellent museum. They also have an elevator as it is on 2nd floor. Lots of history and reference books re/ soldiers who fought for the Confederacy. Friendly, helpful staff.
Very interesting place, seeing I didn't even know it existed until today! Confederate museum, caution written on the sign, take it for what it is... history - learn from it so it's not repeated. Pictures included to show kind of artifacts preserved by the Daughters of the Confederacy. Military and Veterans enter for free, which was nice for my husband.
Great museum that honors the lives and contributions of American Confederate veterans. I have ancestors that fought on both the North and South (Battle of Shiloh and Franklin) as well as my wife’s Confederate ancestor from Arkansas (Battle of Devil’s Backbone). Worth checking out if you are in town.
Incredible collection of artifacts from Confederate/Southern side of the War. Preserved a d displayed very well by the UDC.
Simply amazing. We didn't have enough time to view every exhibit on the museum, but we loved what we saw. They have tons of items that are labeled in glass cases. Everything from uniforms to bullets. They provide information on what they are and where they came from and they detail the events of the war. The staff are very nice. It was very cheap admission with a lot to look at. We will definitely be coming back!
