The Mint Karaoke Lounge - Karaoke bar in San Francisco - 1942 Market St, USA

I am not a big fan of karaoke, but I got up and sang and the DJ was so very encouraging. (Pro tip: The app for finding songs has a search function.) Earlier in the evening was more pleasant for me, when the place was less crowded, so that means you have options. There is a connected sushi restaurant that will bring food into the bar, so that’s a big plus. The related minus is that the only bathroom is in the sushi restaurant! This bar is cash only.

Great vibes, nice bar with drinks. There is a stage and the crowd is all friendly. Friday evening was pretty full but we got a good spot. Nice place if you want to celebrate a birthday or just have fun with friends. Highly recommend. Prices of drinks are also reasonable. Location is good.

Great karaoke atmosphere, HOWEVER look up your song before coming (their list is on their website) and submit your request as soon as you get here because it's popular, so the song queue is long. Tips might help bump it up in the queue. Not sure bc I didn't try personally, but doesn't hurt to ask/try

One of the best bars in the city. it's obviously known for karaoke, but I got just to drink and watch, my favorite bar in San Francisco by far! Everyone is so friendly and fun.

The karaoke set up is decent. There are pretty interesting lights and cameras to broadcast singers/lyrics. Everything about the experience was a bit rough. The $12 margarita tasted like sugar water. The bartender who served it griped “all that nice conversation and your going to stiff me?” Because I paid for my drink, then put change in my pocket. I hadn’t even picked up my glass to taste yet and she literally harassing me for tips. The nice conversation was like 2 sentences about how she makes drinks strong. The tables are unkept with empties left. The queue system needs work. You write on a piece of paper and give it to a rude dj who is just fumbling through the stack. I queued up a song at 12 and by 1:45am he was wrapping up. My song never came but the table of people who put in their request at 1:15am got called. I love the vibe of people singing and dancing but i won’t be coming back unless they get new management/better service.

Came here with a group of friends around 12 am and had an awesome time! I will say that it’s tough to get a spot on the list to sing cause the queue fills up very quickly but it’s a great community feeling with everybody singing along and having drinks together. Speaking of drinks, each mixed drink we got was only 7 bucks which is super affordable but WARNING: THEY ONLY TAKE CASH so make sure you have cash. If you don’t there’s an ATM there but it charges a service fee. Anyway, great staff - one of the bartenders gave me a whole water bottle for free. Had a great time and hope to go back soon!

Huge disappointment. Cool bar but lied to us about how long the karaoke wait was. We asked how long it was and they told us 15 min. Waited 2 hours and did not see a single song we requested. Nice people but forget about doing karaoke it if you are anytime after 5pm.
