The hotel offers a unique, upscale and modern boutique experience in a historic and well maintained building. The lobby is bright and welcoming with a contemporary lounge, coffee bar with food options, and two hip bars, one inside and another outside, that serve alcohol. The staff was very attentive, friendly and professional. The rooms were clean and minimalist in design, and the bed and pillows were comfortable. Although the hotel was in a perfect location within walking distance to multiple restaurants, the street noise, even from the 5th floor, was loud throughout the night. The bathroom layout was spacious, but not especially user-friendly. The sink area had no countertop space, shelves, or towel racks. Public parking one block away was the best and most affordable option.

The building is excellent with modern elements. Convenient downtown access. There is an onsite restaurant, but it was under construction, so we did not eat there. The kitchen is open, and the bar had an adequate menu so that satisfied in a casual way. Our room and bed were excellent but was not a double sink option in the bathroom. We did not see an in-room coffee option in our King Jr Suite which was not good for us. The lobby breakfast & coffee bar was very nice, but we were in a hurry and could not try it. This was a hotel recommended by my sibling and all of our family stayed there with 100% satisfaction. *** The hotel is dog friendly and that is a plus for many - including one of my family members. I will recommend this hotel for others however I would encourage a third-party booker so the best price can be found, and I would share with others the garage is off property. Your car is only in a secure area if you pay the $55 for valet parking and are willing to wait for a good while to get it. The morning we checked out there was only 1 valet working and despite his very best effort it was just a slow process that backed up with so many departing guests. I will add that I had to make room adjustments by phone before arriving and the supervisor of hte front desk was VERY VERY helpful (Mitchell?). I am glad the hotel was recommended and would absolutely stay there again.

What a nice surprise in Colorado Springs. Our room was so well designed and comfortable. It was big and bright and we loved it. It was nice to have 2 queen beds and still have a lot of space to move around the room. |Everyone working here was kind and helpful as well.

Picked Mining Exchange as our second choice. Very good decision. Great staff from management to housekeeping. Awesome bartender, amazing Coffee shop, Blk Mjk, awesome French Fries! Totally satisfied. They said if we reviewed to put good and bad…my friends room was lacking a few features, do t know if renovation was incomplete or it was being repaired. It was still a great room and they were satisfied. Highly recommend this hotel! We will go back

We stayed in room 529, a corner handicap-accessible room. Upon entering, there is a vestibule with the bathroom straight ahead, an archway to the room on the left, and a full-length mirror on the wall to the left of the door before the archway to the bedroom. From the door, you can only see the bed. Once you walk through the archway, there's open space to the right of the bed, a chaise against the wall with the window, and a desk to the right of the window. On the morning of our checkout, we had the "Do Not Disturb" sign on the door. Due to the expensive valet charge, we had parked in a nearby garage. My husband left to bring the car around while I was still in the room getting ready. Less than a minute after he left, I heard the door open again—without a knock or announcement. I was naked in the open area of the bedroom next to the chaise lounge, about to get dressed. Thinking my husband had returned, I looked in the full-length mirror and was shocked to see it wasn't him but a tall, bald man (hotel housekeeping). I screamed, "Someone is in here! Please leave!" and crouched to the ground, trying to hide. Instead of leaving immediately, the man saw me in the reflection of the mirror and walked through the archway into the bedroom, staring at me naked crouched to the ground in shock for what felt like an eternity, but was probably around 7-8 seconds, while I screamed, "Get out of here!" It was extremely creepy, and I felt incredibly violated. After he left, I heard him yell to a woman down the hall, "You said it was empty!" I burst into tears. My husband worked for Marriott for 10 years, and in my lifetime of staying at hotels, I have never experienced anything like this. Housekeeping always knocks and announces themselves before entering, giving you time to respond. If they do open the door, they look away immediately upon realizing someone is inside. We had two people registered to the room, and housekeeping saw only one person exit. Moreover, the "Do Not Disturb" sign was on the door handle and we had not checked out. Housekeeping should never mark a room as empty unless they know the guests have checked out, which we hadn't, as it was 10 AM and checkout was at 12 PM. I called the front desk and spoke with Mitchell. He apologized and said they would offer some compensation at checkout. When we checked out, he offered us $100 off our stay, which felt insulting given the situation. After what happened, we should have been refunded for our entire three-night stay. Eventually, he agreed to comp our final night. I accepted but told him I would be writing a review on every website and outlet I could find.
