The Millbottom is just a few steps away from the beautiful Missouri Capitol in Jefferson City. The venue is beautiful. It was originally a power plant built in the late 1800s and became operational in 1905. The interior is a beautiful mix of old bricks and industrial metals. It can hold a capacity of 250 guests. The staff is friendly, professional and have experience doing weddings, corporate events and small intimate gatherings. There is also a loft that can be used for bridal prep. This venue is one of a kind in the mid Mo area.
As a wedding photographer, I LOVE visiting the Millbottom! The addition of the getting ready suite has been a game changer for getting ready photos, and the venue itself is absolutely stunning! I love how you can mix elegant and modern/industrial styles in this venue. The close proximity to the capital building is so convenient for photos. I truly feel at home when I visit and can never wait to be back.
Such a beautiful venue! We had our wedding here this last weekend and everything went so well. They are super easy to work with throughout the whole planning process and answer any and all questions. There is so much potential at this venue to make your vision really come to life and the suite in the loft is amazing as well! Such a spacious place with really nice amenities to help your day run smoothly.
For a wedding photographer in mid-Missouri, it's rare to find such a beautiful modern venue. I've had the chance to do a few weddings at the Millbottom and always look forward to the chance to work here again. The location so close to the Capital Gardens is also so perfect for photos!
Literally one of the best venues I have been too. Not only is the building amazing, the staff that runs it are top notch. There really are enough word to express how great the Millbottom is!!
My sister had her wedding here and the space is beautiful, rustic, industrial, romantic, and unique. It had everything, from spacious bathrooms, to a bar, a stage, a patio, and a loft where we soent the night prior to the wedding.
My daughter was married here 7/1/2023. Literally everything at the Millbottom was perfect. Margaret was so accommodating and helpful. Everyone who attended marveled about the venue. I highly recommend also renting the bridal suite as well, as it was perfect for bride and attendants to get ready in, and the couple to go to after festivities.
It's nice inside and the balcony is a nice touch. Only negative I experienced was the acoustics isn't very good while setting on the balcony.
