The food was really good, I got pasta salad, which was beautiful, flavorful, and delicious. The pasta was perfectly cooked, and the veggies were nice and crisp. We also got the Maui Flatbread pizza. It was super good, and the coconut cheese was 🤌
The service got 1 star, we were sitting outside, the waitress was not even slightly attentive, and the wait for anything was pretty excessive. The food came out staggered. Some people had their meal for 10 minutes before others arrived, which was a bit awkward.
Atmosphere is scored neutral because we ate outside, the atmosphere inside I can't really comment on.
Outstanding burger. The brioche was crispy on the outside. The salad was made with fresh greens, real grated parmesan. The dressing on the side was delicious. Even the water was excellent.
Did I mention the cheesecake?
Ask for Beth. She's special.
Came here for a late dinner. The outside was packed and waitress said dinner would take 45 minutes. But somehow everything worked out and we got our food faster than that. It has a good classic vibe, feels like an established place. I had The Lynden salad and it was delicious! There is lots of outdoor seating in the summer.
We have eaten here multiple times and always been satisfied . . . until today. The Mill is a little pricey, but the atmosphere is great and the food is usually quite good.
My wife and I made special plans to eat at The Mill this evening, 12/29, and we showed up around 4:30 to do so. It was not busy at all. There was only one couple in the restaurant and three sitting at the bar.
When we arrived, there was no one at the front desk, so we waited. After about five minutes two young girls finally walked in but given their attire we were not sure if they were employees or not. They looked directly at us, said nothing, walked behind the front desk, straight into the kitchen. No “Welcome, we’ll be right with you.” Nothing. Exceedingly unprofessional behavior.
We waited another five minutes to be greeted and seated. Nothing. Even the woman at the bar called back into the kitchen (addressing one of the girls by name) to get us some service.
Nothing. It was astonishing.
We left. It’s not certain whether we will be back or not. We’ve enjoyed all our previous visits. Even met the owner and were impressed. This afternoon’s brief visit was a shockingly bad experience.
The owner needs to be aware of this. It will kill the restaurant.
Pleasantly surprised! Decided to try The Mill for my daughter's birthday after looking at the menu. We always thought it was a wine bar with snacks. I have three teenagers so never thought to try it. It was a Monday night and the place was very quiet. Our waitress was friendly and offered to seat us outside. We sat on their cute back patio and had it to ourselves. They also have a front patio but it was next to the road.
The waitress promptly brought us water and answered all our questions.
First up was the charcuterie board. It was a nice selection and perfect for the four of us to snack on. Two of us ordered paninis, the Turkey Pesto, and the Orchard Valley. Both were very tasty, but the Orchard Valley was the best with the combination of brie and pear. The other two ordered flatbread pizza. Lots of veggies on the Tuin "Garden" pizza with pesto, Italian cheese blend, mozzarella, and balsamic drizzle. It was like a salad on flatbread. The Margherita was excellent as well except my daughter did not care for the capers on it. The vinegar flavor was too strong and overtook all the other flavors. This is not made with a red sauce which was also surprising. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves. There were a lot of kid-friendly options as well as gluten-free substitutions. It was nice to sit outside away from the road, there are not many decent outside-dining options in Lynden. We're excited to go back and try something new.
We were guest at the Air BNB above the restaurant (Yes you can stay in the windmill !) and went down to The Mill for dinner . Great atmosphere, the food and service were great . Great cocktail menu . Prices were great . We would 100% come back on our next stay !
The Mill is one of my go-to dinner spots! The food and atmosphere are always exceptional, and the service can't be beat! If you want an amazing appetizer, get the apple crostini- you won't be disappointed!
The combination of excellent service and delicious food/drink choices made for an incredible experience. Fantastic atmosphere for date nights, important occasions, and other events
I ve really enjoyed taking my dogs and cat here. They're a little more $$ wise than some may be, but I feel their care and convenience is worth it. If I ever have any health issues with my animals, they genuinely care and will follow up to check up t
Wonderful place to view art AND create art! So many programs and I would encourage anyone to stop in and see how they could get involved. Valuable community hub for the arts.
Such an awesome local spot if you need a cheap and tasty bite before heading to the border. I had the chicken fried steak and it was so tasty. The service was great it was incredibly busy for 11 on a Friday but the food was hot and fresh and good. Ca
