GREAT EXPERIENCE
We tried it for the first time today as part of our Sunday brunch activity. Awesome service, perfect atmosphere, and good food. Service was fast. We sat outdoors and it was really pleasant. Tables were just a tad too close on the ground level. We'll be back!
So delicious! The beignets were pillowy pockets, hot, fresh and covered in powdered sugar. The waffles were fluffy and great flavor. Everyone enjoyed their meal and it’s a great local atmosphere!
The Mermaid Cafe is an absolute gem for brunch enthusiasts! Visiting on a Saturday at 10 am, we were greeted warmly by Cassidy, our server for the morning. She immediately made us feel at home, taking our orders promptly and ensuring a delightful experience throughout.
The menu offered an array of tempting choices, and we indulged in the delightful apple pie waffle, chicken & waffle, and the divine mermaid waffle adorned with blueberries, bananas, and honey. Each dish was a delicious journey in itself, bursting with flavors that satisfied our taste buds.
What added to the charm of our visit was the outdoor patio, where we relished our meal while soaking in the vibrant atmosphere and enjoying a bit of people-watching.
The menu also caught my eye with tempting options like the Dole whip float and New Orleans style beignets, compelling me to plan another visit soon just to experience these tantalizing treats!
The Mermaid Cafe is more than just a brunch spot; it's a haven for delicious food, friendly service, and a relaxed ambiance. Cassidy's attentive care and the delightful menu choices made our visit truly memorable. Can't wait to return for more delectable offerings!
OMG! This place is AMAZING! We were here Thanksgiving morning and had the best beignets and Dole Whip mimosas. Yes, Dole Whip…as in Magic Kingdom Dole Whip. The staff is so sweet, and Jim was a sweetheart making our own beignet creations for us. We were there again last night for the Flagler Avenue Grilled Cheese Challenge, and their grilled cheese was tough to beat. This is a great little place to share memorable moments with family and friends. Always at the top of the list to visit when we’re in town. Beignets are better than the ones in New Orleans.
Marvelous breakfast this morning. Very much enjoyed the breakfast bowl with the chorizo gravy (large portion). The Elvis beignet was over the top yummy and indulgent, but you cannot go wrong with traditional beignets, most delicious. Usually the cafe is so busy we can’t get in and parking is slim, but this morning it was quiet with availability so worked wonderfully.
I wanted to love The Mermaid Cafe but was disappointed on our recent visit over Labor Day weekend. Not sure if it was an off day but our experience was not similar to what others have shared.
We arrived and there was only 1 table available (inside) which our server showed us to. She got our drink orders quickly and returned to take our food orders.
We ordered chicken & waffles, NSB waffle, Strawberry Shortcake waffle with a side of hash browns, an order of the fresh fruit, an order of traditional beignets, and an order of the caramel cinnamon apple beignets.
The beignets came out before the rest of our food and they were delicious! The issue with our meal was that ALL the other breakfast was served except for the NSB waffle (mine) and the side of hash browns for my daughter. Our server didn’t come back to check on us for a while and it was then that she realized I didn’t have my waffle and we were missing the hash browns. I heard her speak to the kitchen but by the time I got my waffle, the rest of my party was finished with their meals and ready to leave… except, we never received the hash browns. It’s over a week later and we’re still waiting, lol.
At this point everyone was ready to go because we were cutting into our beach day so my husband placed his card on the table to pay before receiving the bill not even checking to see if we were charged for the hash browns. We were done.
Maybe we’ll try to stop in at some point when we’re in New Smyrna Beach but won’t put it on our regular rotation.
I am a beignet LOVER! The beignet's here are made smaller than traditional NOLA beignets but light, airy and delicious! I had with fresh fruit and powdered sugar & with sausage gravy - PHENOMENAL! Jim and staff are warm and welcoming even during a busy breakfast rush! Roosters welcomed us and the atmosphere was eclectic and soothing.
The perfect brunch spot at New Smyrna Beach! We stopped in and enjoyed all the food especially The Elvis waffles and beignets! The owner, Jim, and our server, Maylee were very kind and welcoming. Will be back next time we are in town!

Healthy, fresh, well prepared food with vegan options. Not a good place for your typical burger-and-fries American diet. My favorite was the nachos Maria, which is kind of like a combination of nachos and salad. You can add tofu or chicken for extra
Had the pleasure of stumbling across uncle chickens today. Had never noticed it when driving by before but so glad I found them on google! Fries were thin, crispy on outside, and tasted of fresh potato inside with sea salt on top. For the entree I pi

Great food and atmosphere! Our server, Candace, was super friendly and attentive! The Mexican street corn and the chimichurri shrimp rice bowl was delicious! We had a friendly visit from one of the Flagler roosters as well!
Classy place and not what you would expect in a shopping plaza. Everything is goodâ fresh and scrumptious. We sat outside for brunch and shared salmon latkes, arugula salad and goat cheese tart. Donât forget to get a few doughnuts to go for later
My friend picked this restaurant for us to have a late dinner and I was impressed.

Had the best smash burger here that I have ever had. Staff/owner really care and make the food for you like they are making it for their own family. I'll definitely be back. I'm hooked. Excellent quality. Great shakes and waffle fries, but the burger
We came in for the first time and had a great experience! Service was quick and attentive, food was fresh and flavorful. Fun menu. Phenomenal all around. Shrimp Ceviche was amazing.
Stopped in here with my daughter on a gorgeous January day. You can't beat the location with the ocean literally just yards away. (See picture out one of the side windows.) The restaurant/bar has a casual/cool atmosphere. Prices are reasonable consid
We dined on the patio, I wanted the croissandwich, but no croissants, so opted for toasted marbled rye. It was delightful! The cheese, egg & sausage was so good. My friend had the Western sandwich and she said it was perfectly blended, fresh ingredie
Keith was a phenomenal instructor. Had awesome communication throughout and was super accommodating with my schedule. I had a trip coming up that I wanted to go diving on and he helped me get certified in time for it. His teaching was very thorough.
I took my husband to the Night Swan B&B for a surprise birthday present this past weekend. It was amazing! We had visited the B&B about 20 years ago for our 1st anniversary and it was everything we remembered. The hosts, David and Natalie, are amazin

This is an amazing eclectic boutique hotel. I would stay here over a Hilton any day. It feels like home, the staff is so friendly and welcoming, and a Chef personally makes breakfast for the guest each morning. Do yourself a favor and visit this prop
Wow this beach was really nice. Accessible from downtown Orlando. Visitors can park their car on the sand. Water was extremely pure. Seawaves are enough for surfing.
And I met cute turtles by coincidence!!
This is such a lovely coffee shop I can see why it is so popular. I ran into them at the farmers market and got excited to see them. During my initial encounter I experienced quite a long wait to which I was told there were unusual register problems
