The Meating Place Cafe - American restaurant in Hillsboro - 6495 NW Cornelius Pass Rd, USA

Went this on a Saturday morning. Loved this place. The service was quick, the food was amazing. They have the butcher right next door and you can see that the meat they serve is fresh. I ordered a half cubano sandwich and it was amazingly delicious. I was in a state of trance while devouring the sandwich. It had the perfect amount of meat and flavors, and you could actually taste the punch provided by various meats. I would definitely go back again to try different sandwiches and soups!

It's been a while since I came back here. They have expanded to have a separate dining area and shopping area. The place has more tables to sit and enjoy your meal. It is counter service - order and then go find a place to sit. I ordered the reuben sandwich and a side of the gouda mac salad. The reuben sandwich was amazing, one of the best I've had. The quality of meat went well with the sauerkraut and bread. Every bite was enjoyed. The gouda mac salad is something new to me and definitely worth trying.

Always wanted to stop, finally did. Cute lay out, order at the counter and pick your seat. Inside and outside seating. They call your number over a speaker so you don’t have to worry about not hearing it sitting towards the back. Love that they do half sandwich orders! Had the Ruben, and elk chili! Sandwich was delicious. Table also ordered the pulled pork, and the French dips. Will be back.

The meat quality here is superb. The patty melt and reuben were delicious. The staff was very friendly. Only downside is I wish they served fries. I ended going to another restaurant for dinner and eating the meat here just ruined it for me at the next place. Will return for more food

It is very much about the food. You walk up to a counter to order and pick up your food. They were busy, but the man who took our order let us know it would be about 25 minutes. We walked down to the market and bought an elk pepperoni stick appetizer. Our food was excellent. My husband had the elk burger and said it was probably the best burger he had ever had. He could not finish it. I had the one half Cuban sandwich and the macaroni salad. The salad was different but tasty. We took the scenic drive out there and it was a fun Saturday lunch outing.

Had the Reuben sandwich with a side of potato salad. Potato salad was okay but the Reuben had a nice stack of pastrami with great sauerkraut and was cheesy. Overall a great experience with good food.

I love this place, been coming here since they opened. I know it's high quality meat but I wish the food was just a bit cheaper at the cafe, I would eat there more often. Also if I could recommend an improvement on their breakfast sandwiches... They are overpriced and it doesn't taste like a breakfast sandwich. Too much meat and not enough breakfast sausage taste. I guess maybe I'm just expecting a typical breakfast sandwich with better quality meat than most other places and maybe this is just the way they want to make them which I understand too. Overall we couldn't be happier with this place, they are fantastic in every corner of the business and I'm glad we have them in the neighborhood. 10/10 recommend!

Great quality meat based dishes served. A few things for the visitors to know though: Burittos not available after 14:00. Soup of the day only served on winter. French fries not available at all; you get a very small bag of chips with your burger instead. Service is slow; had to wait for food for 30 minutes after placing the order.
