We had a great time as wedding guests for two nights. We found the staff and housekeeping to be friendly and efficient. Amenities included a classic swimming pool with bar for lounging, an upstairs pub/ speak easy and the manicured grounds and Mamir Hpuse from the Long Island Gold Coast era c. 1910. Reception generously found us an extra night during a very busy season of events. Very accommodating vibe which hosts a bountiful continental breakfast in a historic atmosphere of drawing rooms and elegant sun filled areas. Definitely recommend to families and other guests. Overall very relaxing.

We had the most magical, beautiful, and fun wedding here. The staff was absolutely incredible from the top down and was happy to help with any questions or requests that my wife or our families had. We got countless positive feedback from our guests about how much fun they had! Astrid, Meghan, and Cassandra led the way in allowing us to truly have a perfect and stress free day and Chef Rodrigo delivered on all of our menu items. We couldn’t be more grateful and can’t wait to come back here for many years to come.

I had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Mansion at Glen Cove! The room was spacious and clean. It provides the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. The bathroom was also very comfortable. The historic building itself is stunning. I also enjoyed spending time at the pool, which was a lovely addition to the overall relaxation. The complimentary breakfast was a delightful bonus. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing stay!

Overall, the stay was fantastic. First of all, the front desk staff were all very kind and helpful. The room was incredibly spacious, making it very comfortable to stay in! Although it’s a bit older the environment is very clean and well-maintained. The mattress was also at a perfect level of firmness for a good night’s sleep! The bathroom was another highlight—it was very comfortable! The entire shower area, as well as the non-shower area, was quite large, making it easy to do things like putting on makeup or blow-drying hair. In some smaller hotel bathrooms, the steam from the hot water often makes it hard to breathe, but this bathroom was so spacious that there was no such issue at all. The bathroom was definitely my favorite part of the entire room. The breakfast was also very satisfying. All the basics were covered, and they even had small boxes of bite-sized fruits, which were a nice touch. The jams and butter were stored in the fridge, which keeps them fresh and prevents spoilage due to temperature. There were also various types of bagels, which could be paired with smoked salmon available on the side. The hotel’s location is the only potential downside, as public transportation isn’t very convenient. Having a car would be more practical. However, this also means that the hotel enjoys a peaceful, secluded environment.

I recently visited the pool, and while the cleanliness left much to be desired (dead bugs and bird feathers in the water), Vilma, our pool attendant, was truly wonderful. Despite arriving late, we were graciously offered a cabana instead of pool chairs, which was a lovely gesture. The bartender was also quite delightful, adding to the positive aspects of our experience. However, I would suggest that umbrellas be set up at every cabana for added comfort. Additionally, table service for alcoholic drinks and food would significantly enhance the overall experience. One thing to note is that the drive to the pool is not the easiest, as it is somewhat out of the way. However, Vilma's excellent service and the charming bartender made our visit enjoyable despite the setbacks. On the flip side, one might argue that maintaining a completely spotless pool at all times is a challenge, especially in an outdoor setting. However, my constructive criticism would be having someone with a net to clean the pool water when there’s anything inside. It would allow for a more sanitary experience and elevate the overall perception of the facility. This did not give a luxury experience more than a motel vibe. There need to be more luxury amenities to be considered otherwise. Features such as consistent pool cleaning, readily available umbrellas, and enhanced service options would significantly improve the guest experience and align it more closely with luxury standards. Overall, while there were some notable positive aspects, addressing these areas of improvement would help in delivering a truly luxurious experience that guests expect.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. When we arrived the grand entrance to what appears to have been a nice mansion was clogged with rental trucks. We could not pull in to drop off bags. We drove a distance to a lot and then tried to find the registration desk. After walking around the catering hall for a while, avoiding running shrieking flocks of out of control children, we finally found a staff member who was not standing about flirting with another staff member. She directed us to the registration desk where we were ignored for about ten minutes by a woman on her phone with a customer. The first woman reappeared and directed us to our room, which was far away and one flight down. She showed us how we could walk a bit further to an elevator, which was out of service when we finally found it.||The stairway down had what looked like a dried bad spill or vomit splashed over several of the carpeted steps. The hallways were pretty dirty. Our room was damp and stunk of cigarettes, despite the no smoking sign. The sink was slow moving, needing several minutes to drain if you just brushed your teeth. The closet rod was partially broken and the door was not set properly so it could have swung off at any time. I tried to call the desk to let them know the room smelled of smoke. After five or more tries, someone picked up. Saying sorry was a helpful as he got. |The room decode looked like a dorm room. IKEA meets Walmart decode—not at all what the facade and the price would have you believe. The room was also noisy. At about 7 am I was awakened by a loud conversation that I believe was a manager in the yard near our ground floor window. |We left without risking the breakfast. The stairs we dragged our bags up had still not been cleaned. The check out people listened to my complaints with no evident sign of surprise. After a very unhelpful’so sorry’ I was on my way. The trucks were still blocking the entrance. The photo shows why they were there. The service area was chock full of ink and open so all could see. Don’t waste your money.

My administration recently hosted a day retreat here, it was great! The Mansion is charming, regal, and elegant. The attentiveness of the staff ensured a seamless experience, while the meticulously maintained grounds provided a perfect backdrop to spark creative.

The Mansion at Glen Cove...was magical. Just stayed for an overnight. The room was immaculate and beautiful. The staff was beyond kind and helpful. Maria at front desk took her time and was warm and friendly. There was a wedding being held and the set up looked fantastic. It was beautiful to see, however, guests not attending the wedding felt just as welcome. The Mansion is large enough to handle anything. Breakfast was held in a ballroom with chandeliers. So elegant and well maintained.
