We had a wonderful stay at the Manor on Front. We stayed while passing through and we had a relaxing night. The Inn keepers were incredibly helpful, making great suggestions for dinner and drinks. The location was great, I was able to take a beautiful run along the river in the morning. We especially enjoyed the breakfast with other guests. It’s not often you share a table with others and get to enjoy the simple company and conversation with other travelers in such a relaxed way. Everything was clean and quiet and excellent!
My husband and I stayed here for one night on our way from Brooklyn, NY to Hagerstown Maryland. The hosts were kind, friendly, and helpful and the place was very clean and charming. Great breakfast in the AM. Would definitely stay again, perfect B&B with gorgeous river views.
This is a great old impeccably renovated bed and breakfast with large clean rooms and a nice breakfast. It’s within easy driving distance of dining. I would give it more stars for location if it were within walking distance of food and shops. Harrisburg doesn’t seem like a very walkable city in general, so this criticism really affects every place to stay in the city. The Manor does have a very nice river walk if you want to walk along the river. It also has excellent public rooms.
What a beautiful property. I needed a mental health day so I randomly chose The Manor. I was pleasantly surprised at how gorgeous every room was. Beyond clean, peaceful and relaxing. Even sitting outside watching the sunset over the water was everything I needed. I will surely be coming back a couple times a year I can’t recommend this place enough.
My husband and I stayed at the Manor on Front for a romantic 1-night getaway and we really enjoyed it!It’s located right on the riverfront- there’s a paved walking trail along the river. The hosts greeted us as soon as we parked and took us to tour the two properties/homes that make up the Manor. The room was clean, bed was comfortable and everything was impressively thought out (the swivel on the TV stand was a great touch which allowed us to watch a movie comfortably from bed). We were able to run important downtown errands; takeout and wine, all under 30 min!Breakfast the following day was delicious. We were instructed to select our choice of breakfast on a form and submit it in a designated basket the night before. Breakfast is at a large dining table joined with other guests.There’s also plenty of parking right outside the Manor. We would definitely return!
My wife and I enjoyed our two night stay at Manor on Front. We stayed in the historic Mary Sach’s home. The innkeeper Bonnie was the best. Met the one owner Bobby who was very friendly and he related history of the property. Very clean and three choices for breakfast. Very nice place for a romantic get away.
My stay at the Manor in Front was absolutely luxurious! I stayed in the Schiaparelli suite and had a beautiful view of the Susquehanna River. My room was spotless and the bathrooms (where I am super picky) was wonderfully clean. Comfy bed and pillows. Lots of additional amenities were available such as coffee, refreshments, and a common fridge. It was incredibly easy to check in and the hostess was helpful and attentive. I felt recharged after my stay. I will be back again in the future!
The best BnB my wife and I have ever stayed in. I don't even know where to begin on the positives. Fantastic architecture and decorations, historic manor, comfortable beds, very spacious, friendly staff, delicious breakfast, and gorgeous location overlooking the Sasquehanna river and a walking / bike path. It was like staying in a Victorian era museum. We hated to leave but we'll be back!
