The Madison - Hostel in Minneapolis - 714 NE Madison St, USA

- Misleading room advertisement. Image don't show the whole room, intentionally ignore room corners for people unable to guess the size. - Room actual size is smaller than what the advertisement shows. - Dirty bed. The bed is dusty and has stained on it. - All the houses are filled with Marijuana smell. Overall, We leave immediately after just one night despite having booked it to stay for 8 days. We have asked for refunds, but I couldn't hear anything from this hostel host.

this wasn’t clear to me when i was booking: it’s cooperative living. you get a room and share a bathroom with other guests. during my stay, that bathroom was VERY clean. surprisingly so. there are two floors, each with a communal kitchen. i really enjoyed staying here. the location is really good: close enough to the water and breweries. it’s in a safe neighborhood (i was driving across the country w a full car). if you’re looking for a cheap stay in minneapolis, i recommend this place.

The room is just 3.5 square meters, and it just has enough space for a bed. You actually pay for the bed, not the room in this place. The advertisement is deceiving, cannot show the true size of the room. Have contact with this hostel owner to address my concern about the room, but he refused to respond.

Very misleading photos. They make you think that the rooms are bigger than their actual size, even the bed can't fit 2 people.

Wonderful place! Clean, I loved everyone there, perfect location, way cheaper than any big box motel. It's more of a nice air BNB than the name suggests, The Madison might leave people thinking they are getting something like The Radisson but think more along the lines of a nice big house with 9 bedrooms The bad reviews posted are bunk imo, all along the lines of "one particular random person also staying there left a mess that wasn't cleaned up till someone reported it or caretakers noticed! Terrible place!" Go pay twice as much for a super 8 motel if a nice clean house that is fully cleaned at least once a day isn't good enough for you. My stay was absolutely wonderful
