This was our first experience at the Mad Hatter; and we loved it! My husband and I attended the Christmas tea. It was decorated beautifully. The food was superb, tea selections were delicious. We have been to tea events in British Columbia (they are very seriousabouttheir tea there), and the Mad Hatter is comparable - top notch. Our server was Megan; she was wonderful. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owner and learning more about the history of the Mad Hatter. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Obviously a reference to Alice in Wonderland, and I didn't have a chance to order the famous Queen of Hearts tea that people were talking about, which was okay because I got some pretty good brunch. I thought my entire experience was not something I was used to and lovely. The restaurant was located inside what looked like a residential house-turned restaurant, which was quite new and interesting to me, and I was ready to embrace the change. Overall the food was pretty good in the most conventional manners. The hollandaise sauce enhanced the flavors of the crab cakes and tweedle puff, and the side potatoes and fries are pretty well-made. I got the combo skillet which contained kielbasa, ham, bacon, etc. along with eggs that I ordered as made sunny side up. Nothing exceptional to highlight, but nothing exceedingly constructive that I would offer, either! Just pretty good standard brunch food is how I would put what my friends and I ordered from the Mad Hatter. Oh, I must say the cinnamon roll looked amazing! We ordered the "crazy Alice" version if I remembered the name correctly, and the presentation was something else! It definitely allowed me to take a good photo prior to indulging in its sweetness. It was slightly hard despite the menu saying it's freshly baked, but putting some cream cheese frosting on top of a piece of cinnamon roll would make the experience more pleasant. I do not normally visit the area so I am not sure when the next time will be that I return to this establishment, but I do recommend it to those who want to experience some "old school fairy tale" vibes with themes that reflected somewhat older times! And if I do return, I would definitely love to try their tea, or even get a chance to go for the Queen of Hearts!

Imagine stepping into Wonderland's most charming tearoom, nestled within the grand walls of Anoka's second oldest house. That's the experience that awaits at the Mad Hatter Restaurant and Tea House, and their Queen of Hearts Tea service is nothing short of divine! The service was as charming as the setting, and the entire experience was an absolute delight.

We have enjoyed all of our visits to Mad Hatter, but our most recent visit stands out. My mother in law was visiting from Texas and we knew we had to take her here. Every minute of our visit was absolutely wonderful! She so enjoyed the boutique and our seating for on the screened in porch. Each plate was delightful, and the incredible service sweetened the experience even more! Our server, Megan, was so personable and kind, and left us wanting for nothing. We so appreciated her attentiveness and recommendations, and she felt like a friend before the end of it. Thank you for creating a wonderful experience from start to finish, Mad Hatter! We can't wait to come back!

I wanted to add an update as we just visted again for the Christmas Tea. I was pretty disappointed with this visit. First, the holiday tea menu was unable to be viewed on the website. So there were items we just couldn't have due to dietary restrictions. Also a good number of the items on our tea tray were dry as if they'd prepped all our food for our late afternoon sitting, far in advance for them to dry out. For the cost of this event, one would expect all fresh items for each tea attendee.

Had a great time with our group. The tea service was phenomenal. The chicken salad croissant and the berries and cream cheese French toast was really good. Jessica was an attentive server. Need to make reservations far in advance but it’s worth it!

This was an absolutely beautiful place for a bridal shower. Kim took excellent care of us and the entire event was completely stress-free. From the minute we arrived, each delicate bite and sip of tea was perfect. I thought we might leave hungry, but we were completely full after the tea service. We will come back for tea!

My husband surprised me with a reservation for the Queen of Hearts tea service as a late birthday present. We had the very best time. The ambiance is so great and the service was wonderful. I love that it’s in a historic home. The Halloween decor was so great. Our waitress Lauren was very attentive and helpful in selecting teas to try. Our favorite teas were the chai and the rose marzipan. Some of the best tea I have had! We bought some of the loose leaf chai to enjoy at home. The scones, savory, and dessert courses were all absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back. I’ve been wanting to go to a high tea since I was a little girl and the Mad Hatter was honestly a dream come true. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Amazing atmosphere, drinks, and fun! Limited on food and really only a couple shareable apps keeps the food stars low. I recommend the four roses old fashion smoked! It's an old school establishment, with new style drinks. Make a reservation in advan
