This place is so beautiful and peaceful ❤️. We were there for a work retreat and in addition to the amazing setting and history, the food was amazing, the beds were like sleeping on a cloud, the rooms were so quiet... I didn't really want to leave. I felt so pampered just walking in the door. Valet parking and luggage help.💜 In house shampoos and such smell amazing!! The in room coffee was excellent according to my coffee conisseur coworkers. The food was superb. All that in a secluded lakeside park setting.
I visited The Lodge for business, for which it was a perfect destination for company meetings. All of the amenities were top notch, the food was wonderful, the staff were brilliant, and the space accommodated a group of about 40 very well. I loved the access to nature, the on-site food options, and the availability of leisure activities. Aside from business, I would love to return with my family at some point. One random thing I'll note is that I loved the library. Whoever curated the game collection is a bit of a board game geek like me, and included games like Ticket to Ride, Catan, Azul, and some others that you wouldn't necessarily expect at a hotel. Very cool.
We had brunch at Cedar and Elm on a Saturday. There were only 5 or 6 tables occupied when we got there at 9:30. There was no host to greet us when we arrived. We waited about 5 minutes for anyone to show up. I gave him my name for our reservation. And he left again, saying that they needed to set a table. About 5 minutes later we were seated. By then, the couple behind us had also waited more than ten minutes. There seemed to be more than enough staff around to help, they simply seemed to have virtually no instruction or direction. Our waiter was pleasant. He too however, seemed to have absolutely no experience or training, in hospitality. Very slow service. We sat and waited another ten minutes before anyone even greeted us. We were never asked if we wanted coffee, our juice orders came half way through the meal. Our water and coffees sat empty until we asked for refills. Any condiments that we ordered came 10 minutes after our cold meals were served to us. We asked for salt and pepper, that never showed up, I finally just got up and went to the bus station and got it myself. Honestly the list can go on and on. We would really like to recommend this neighbor hood venue, however, we've tried enough times and been disappointed each time. There is absolutely no excuse for cold food, cold coffee, not at these prices. So much potential, and a lovely setting. I believe with some better management, staff training, and some sweeping changes, there is real potential for success. You have to train and pay your people these days. When you don't, it really shows.
This was perfect for a quiet place to stay away from neighbors who like to set off fireworks all night long even though it's illegal. It seems that dogs are welcome here, too, because we saw several. We really like that the room is pretty much fragrance-free, doesn't smell like mildew, chemicals, or anything. They renovated the rooms a few years ago and now the new carpet smell is gone. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom. The room we stayed in was small, but adequate. We booked through a 3rd party so the cost was reasonable. The staff was professional and very helpful.
The lodge at St. Andrew's Is a beautiful property nestled in the National park. The rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds. Appreciated the library with board games plus water and snacks. The art in the hallways was wonderful and the trails throughout the National Park are lovely. The food was good and the people who work here nice.
I booked the lodge for a business group. The setting is beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. The service was amazing and the rooms were well-appointed with thoughtful details, like a sweet welcome gift. We also loved the gift shops with unique, curated St. Edward gifts and treats. The property includes trails through the State Park and down to Lake Washington. The restaurant had great coffee and lunch, and the downstairs bar had wonderful service and creative, delicious drinks in a very cool setting. Would absolutely recommend and would stay again!
From the moment I arrived at this enchanting historic hotel, I felt immersed in tranquility and timeless elegance. The quiet, serene location with trails sprawling out for miles and the character-filled building created a magical ambiance. The staff were exceptionally prompt and helpful in every way, making us feel so welcome. The culinary experience was extraordinary, with chefs crafting visually stunning and delectable dishes. The oysters in particular are so incredibly fresh. And the room…a perfect blend of coziness, comfort and elegant sophistication. This hotel is such a peaceful, serene sanctuary, offering historic charm like I haven’t experienced anywhere else in the Seattle area; outstanding service, and luxurious comfort. We left rejuvenated and eager to return. Five stars are not enough for this remarkable establishment.
One night stay on a trip through the Seattle Area. We wished that we had the time to stay another night. Beautiful grounds, surrounded by nature. Lovely old building and comfortable accommodations. Take a splendid stroll along the halls to view art and history. Would love to come back to explore the park and many trails on the grounds.

I had been going here for years with my grandfather who passed away recently. The food is amazing! The service is fast paced around dinner time, but I've always been greeted when I walk in and always told to take care when I leave. Never had a compla
