The Lodge at Cypress Falls - Featured Reviews (310)
This is a 1949 updated building. The charming lobby and tavern are a refreshing glance back in time. The rooms are really classic with a rock wall, very comfortable and we had a lovely stay! The bathroom was immaculate and well maintained. The pool was a blast from the past. We enjoyed the walking trails and swimming hole for hours. There is much to do here and my whole family came and enjoyed the terrific ambience of this classic Texas Hill Country lodge . I highly recommend The Lodge at Cypress Falls as an affordable fun spot to stay and spend time relaxing and unwinding.
Such a pretty area. The Lodge in its self has so much potential with a little bit of attention to detail and upkeep. Something as simple as having the tennis courts cleaned up and playable or the grass around the lodge mowed makes all the difference. This place could be a gold mine with just a little money spent. The staff was fantastic, and the area is great. I would stay again, I just hope some of the listed amenities can be utilized on my next visit.
Thoroughly enjoyed this summer-camp feeling vintage motel beside Cypress Falls Swimming Hole. There is also a traditional swimming pool on the property. Staff is very helpful and informative about local Hill Country history and history of this wonderful original limestone motel built as a rustic resort in 1949. Beautiful property in a charming and lovely area.
If you are staying here you aren’t expecting a 5 star report. However, there is much that can be improved on. Our room had a horrible sewage/sulfur smell coming from the bathroom. The toilet appeared to not be sealed at the bottom. The bathroom needs to be repaired and tiles resealed. This is not meaning it needs to be updated, just repaired and maintenanced. The fan had an inch thick dust on it so we couldn’t use it. We don’t take a shower because the bathroom just didn’t seem to be clean. The pictures online definitely make the place look nicer than it is. The staff was very nice and the location is great. It could be a great place worth some TLC.
Not our favorite stay. The rooms need major upgrades. Toilets were dirty. Showers take forever to get hot. There is no AC unit or somehow they control it. No thermostat in the room. No food on site.
The staff was nice and location is great but wouldn't stay here again. No shades on the blinds so anytime car would come by or thunder would hit it would wake our baby up.
They do not have refrigerators for your rooms and they have very small TVs in the rooms
Also no one at front desk in the mornings. Just a lot of coffee...
Carpets are dirty in the hallways
Absolutely amazing trip. Tavern and swimming hole were great!
From the moment we got there, Hunter made us feel at home. Lodge is kept in great condition for how old it is. Will definitely be back!
DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give this place less than one star I would.|I stayed in the townhouses with my bookclub this past weekend. Upon our arrival we discovered the place was filthy. The tile floors had visible dirt and pet hair and there was dried food under the dining table. We also discovered a Mister Coffee in the kitchen with old coffee and mold in the carafe. They advertised a Keurig, but there wasn’t one. The front desk did have one delivered a couple hours later, but it was broken. Additionally there were burned out lightbulbs, broken garbage disposal, broken ice maker and water dispenser, all three toilet seats broken, and there is no “stunning river view” as advertised on their website. Instead there is a view of two abandoned boarded up buildings with broken glass surrounding them. The back deck is rotten with holes in it as well. When we came in after dark the path lights to the townhouse are broken out. |We reached out to management and told them of these issues and sent photos. We asked for a 50% refund but they only issued 30%. This is unacceptable and I am writing this review so others don’t have this same unfortunate experience. With the amount this place charges, this should be a five star property, but it’s not even a one!
What can I say about this place other then we absolutely loved it!!!! If I could rate this higher then 5 stars I absolutely would!!!!!!
the guest customer service is beyond amazing and they treat you like family from the moment you step onto the property! I have to commend Sherri and Hunter who helped us every step of the way with any and all of our concerns!
it is a lovely quaint hotel with loads of quirky additions! it might not have some of the commodities as newer hotels but what it lacks it makes up in character and hospitality for sure! we really enjoyed our stay and cannot wait to be back!!! We are also soooooo excited to host our wedding with them and plan visits for years to come! I highly recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
Square Inn hosted the brunch for our wedding weekend in Wimberley. It was just perfect. Marcilia and Lloyd are the most personable hosts, the kind that will make event planning a breeze and will cater to your every need with grace and ease. The food
Perfect location to park and then walk in to town. The main strip can get crowded with cars and people and just being able to walk everywhere was great. The rooms had everything we needed and the provided amenities (breakfast voucher, hot tub, etc) w
This was such a beautiful place to stay! The staff was extremely helpful and worked with us. We were able to check in at 1pm instead of 3pm. Not only that they gave us recommendations for a place to eat$ we canât wait to come back! We spent a nigh
