The Lodge at Breckenridge - Featured Reviews (974)
We loved our stay here. We paid a bit extra for a mountain view room and were absolutely amazed by the views. Since the hotel is a bit outside of and elevated from Aspen, it had stunning vistas. The setting was also very tranquil while still being convenient driving or shuttle distance. The shuttle was quick and convenient. There was a fantastic trail very nearby that the front desk staff rightfully recommended. The linens were nice. Breakfast was alright - meat, eggs, potatoes, and standard grain options.
Only complaint is that the rooms really could've been a bit cleaner - it felt like the floors hadn't been thoroughly vacuumed, and the ice bucket still had some liquid.
We won’t stay anywhere else in Breckenridge! It is very clean and dog friendly! They have great free breakfast and a free shuttle. Great friendly staff. Great views. Restaurant food is delicious with great Mountain View and good happy hour deals. Fire place for s'more's.
We stayed for two nights on a busy Labor Day weekend. |1. Clean and quiet.|2. Staff was exceptionally friendly.|3. So many dogs everywhere. I have never seen so many dogs at a lodging of all sizes. Some were behaved others not. Great for dog owners .|4. Maybe a small issue but there was no gym.|5. The beds were not comfortable but the rooms were nice overall. |6. There was a box fan in the room that was too loud (even on low) to realistically use in a room. Staff tried to find a quieter one but couldn’t. |7. The K cup coffee was defective. I tried to get a new one but there weren’t any. Didn’t matter too much as we were close to the lobby.|8. The breakfast was an average hotel breakfast. Not sure why there were no bananas. |9. $30 resort fee. Apparently this is for the breakfast, hot tubs and lobby items, which many hotels have anyway. |10. I heard one woman complaining about not having AC- some rooms don’t have them. Thankfully I requested one when I made our reservation. |11. The views were nice but really you can find nice views anywhere in Breckenridge. |12. I wouldn’t stay here again. Not impressed, especially for the price. I’d stay in town.
Beautiful location! Nice room. View is amazing. Only complaint is the mattress was a little hard.
Had the opportunity to do mobile check in check out. It was so easy! Just be careful if you check out. We set our check out time for 10:15 and as soon as we confirmed the time our mobile key expired.
Unfortunately, our visit was not a good one. We asked to leave after we checked into one of the small lodge homes we booked. The home upstairs was very dusty, especially the bedrooms. The fireplace did not work, the t.v. initially did not work. We reported this to the front desk. They had someone try to fix the fireplace and we felt very uncomfortable with the person's ability to repair the problem. The t.v. eventually worked after a repair person worked on it. All and all, it did not leave us feeling confident about staying at the property. We asked to cancel our reservation and were able to be released from the reservation after paying 50% of the first night's stay. We were only in the home about 3 -4 hours. Overall, Breckenridge has many good choices for lodging. Perhaps consider another location before booking here.
A very nice place to stay for a getaway. There is no AC and the room was a bit warm in the later evening. However, we opened the balcony door and front door for five minutes and the hot are was sucked right out.
Wonderful views. Additionally, the night sky is amazing. We photographed the Milky Way and could see it with the naked eye. With binoculars I saw several satellites shortly after sunset and we also witnessed three meteorites.
4 stars mainly due to the price (remember to add $50 a night for resort fee & taxes). Room was excellent and the location/views are great. Resort fee felt like a complete ripoff during the summer, as the only amenity we were told about was the hot tub. Unsure what else made it a “resort.”
Good breakfast, the Horizon milk was a nice touch. The staff who helped set up the breakfast/cleaned was exceptional. Staff member who checked us in seemed completely disinterested in helping us find something that would accommodate our needs, I had to show her availability via their own website (at first she said they only had rooms that “started” $60 a night more than what they had available, and she doubled down until I showed her my phone). We ultimately did end up paying more for a mountain view, which probably was worth it, but would’ve appreciated a bit more empathy for the less financially fortunate!
That being said, my wife told me I should absolutely recommend this hotel as she loved our stay here. I’m probably being too sensitive about things that don’t really matter. For what it’s worth, we would return in similar circumstances.
We found the place overpriced for what we got: no view, lots of stairs to climb, no air conditioning, mediocre restaurant food, and unconcerned and absent staff. MANY dogs were barking all night and morning, keeping us awake! Then, at breakfast, a HUGE dog was in the restaurant (not a service dog). When I spoke to the front desk attendant about it, she was indifferent and said it was not supposed to be there. I had to ask her to go downstairs to remove it. Instead, she went up to the owner and laughed with him about his "adorable" dog while I watched from afar, waiting for it to be removed. Her solution was to wait directly outside the door with the dog until the owner got his breakfast. Meanwhile, I waited over 10 minutes on the deck, for this HUGE dog and his owner to leave. No dogs are allowed in the dining room? HA! The desk attendant was unprofessional and uncaring that I had a fear of dogs. In this case, the dog won and I lost. Why do dogs get precedence over humans?
Stayed in one of the Penthouses on the 6th floor. Fantastic views. Ski in Ski out. Quicksilver lift is right out the back door. Hot tub inside and outside. Sauna. Room slept 12 people. Had a fireplace and was perfect. We will be back.
Our son absolutely loved the arcade here! Itâs one of the best indoor places to take kids in Breckenridge. Plus thereâs an ice cream shop in the front!
Absolutely loved the mines tour with Michael, heâs so full of fun knowledge and delivers the info so well!
Another shot out to Cory the operations manager of the monster truck sleigh rides. He gave my family a fun and great experience going the ext
Craved a flavorful, tasty and fresh meal after wandering the town. I am lucky to have found Mount Golian Grill. This restaurant is clean, nicely decorated and cozy. The food was phenomenal and the service was great. I can only highly recommend it.
Loved the salsas and rose pork. Wish there was more avocado and tomato, but Iâve never had tlayudas before. Very tasty! Also had a breakfast burrito (no pic) and it was bomb.
We loved the breakfast and bakery items here. Get the Turkey and Cheese sandwich, Cinnamon Brioche, and Pain Au Chocolat Croissants. All of those were excellent. The latte was also very good. The staff were very nice and patient, place was clean, and
My family enjoyed this trail. We did a total of 4.5 miles. If you are not used to the altitude (we're from Ohio) it can be difficult at times. Make sure to bring water, wear sunscreen, and be prepared to get your shoes dusty. We didn't see any wildli
