The Local - Minneapolis - Irish restaurant in Minneapolis - 931 Nicollet Mall, USA

This place has a fun vibe. Not sure if its truely Irish, but still fun. Menu is pretty short and they didn't have some items even from that limited menu. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. Several of the tables are right next to the entrance and you can really feel the cold draft from outside on windy days. Food itself was very good. Reasonably priced for the amount they give you. Came out in a reasonable time. Kinda deserted when I went. Must be the impact of businesses leaving the downtown metro area.

We stayed at the Hilton Minneapolis and had a chilly walk to The Local. Absolutely loved it! Portion sizes were amazing and very flavorful. We'll be back next time we stay in Downtown Minneapolis.

The atmosphere is amazing here! I love the architecture and the way the dining room is set up. Wife and I loved the tomato soup. The food was really good overall and we plan on coming back

Apparently they dismantled an entire Irish pub and shipped it to downtown Minneapolis and put it back together, now that is special! The atmosphere is top-notch. It's so cute inside. They even have a kissing room in the back with saloon doors and a comfy couch. My whiskey sour was delicious. The fish and chips were great, I preferred the cod. Our waiter, I think his name was Corbin was incredible. He was so nice that I felt lucky to meet him.

I booked the whiskey lounge here for our companies happy hour and we had a great time. Kara helped me book everything and the staff were amazing and very attentive to our party. Dave, Benny, and Laura helped make the night a success! The atmosphere is really cool, the food was delicious and wether you’re local or out of town like us, I definitely recommend hosting company events here. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the perfect Irish pub. I loved the atmosphere and how nice the waitstaff was. I had the club which was perfect. The bacon was just right and it was filling without any one part overwhelming the others. The fries were perfect with just the right crunch and the ceasar was light. The downcast cider was perfect for fall. I would highly recommend!

All round great dining experience! We ordered the Chicken Shots and Quinoa Slaad for starters - both very generous portions and absolutely delicious! For mains, we had the Pub Pot Roast and the Vegetarian House Curry. The pot roast was good, but not great - very tender, but lacked complex flavor in the sauce, so couldn't really taste much other than the meat itself. The curry, on the other hand, was absolutely divine!! Filling and amazingly flavorful. Service was great and really attentive. Great rewards program also. Would certainly dine here again in a heartbeat! One of the better dining options in Minneapolis!

Also known as the Irish pub, I sat outside with my team and I had the most delicious tomato soup ever! Service was top-notch too!!!
