A surprising little food heaven/ haven in Uvalde! It doesn't look great on the outside but it's lovely, clean, and delicious on the inside! The food and drinks could be in any coastal gourmet big city which is quite something in rural Texas! Keep it up! 🙏
Felt welcome and cared for, the best service I’ve had in a long time. The workers were nice and friendly. Coffee was bomb, would recommend.
Great little coffee shop with a good breakfast menu. I had a meat lovers omelet and my wife had the breakfast "taco". My omelet was great and in a good sized portion. So let's talk about the "taco"... The menu urges you to start with just one taco. And this is sage advice. The best way I can describe it is if you took my omelet and wrapped in a flour tortilla. Because that's exactly what it was. It was huge. Delicious! But enormous. I ordered a caramel machiatto as well and, while a bit cooler in temperature than I would have liked, was a great drink. Service couldn't be more friendly and helpful. All in all I'd highly recommend stopping by for breakfast if you're in the area.
I had an amazing breakfast 🥞 and coffee! 100% recommended. Don’t forget to stop here is amazing place!
This place is super cute and has incredible coffee and food! All of us were craving something different for breakfast and we got what we wanted! The chocolate chip waffle plate was very filling. The eggs were cooked perfectly. The breakfast tacos are HUGE and super good as well. The salsa is homemade and very flavorful. They have alternative milk (soy, almond, coconut) if you can’t have dairy and corn tortillas if you can’t eat flour. We were so satisfied. The employees are also very attentive and kind even when it’s super busy. Definitely come by and check it out!
Restaurant manager and daughter team …absolutely amazing, The Local Fix is cozy, warm, clean and filled with love and has the best coffee in Uvalde, Texas! My partner Fred and I truly appreciate the wonderful customer service and genuine spirits the mother and daughter team that’s running this amazing find! Bravo to The Local Fix job well done!
Made a quick stop at this seemingly cute coffee shop that I stumbled upon by chance. The windows were tinted with marketing showing examples of items available to order inside. The shop is near a corner with a parking lot. Seating was available inside with bar stools against the window as well as regular tables and chairs. The space was well-lit with hanging bulbs throughout the ceiling creating a modern ambience. It was a busy place with noise and chatter amongst the tables. I ordered a chai latte frappe for myself and a green tea latte frappe for my partner along with one of the cinnamon rolls they had on display. They were limited with dairy alternatives so I ended up just requesting regular milk. They had either the classic cinnamon roll or with buttercream on top. I went with the buttercream for a change. While waiting for our order, one of the servers asked if we would like espresso in the chai latte. I accepted the suggestion. Upon receiving our order, the green tea frappe did not have a very strong flavor and was more on the sweet side. The chai latte had a very mild chai flavor as the espresso was overpowering it. My partner and I wound up trading our drinks. The shop was getting ready to close a short while after we ordered and they handed us our food in a to-go styrofoam container. I ended up exiting the shop and opened it to see that it was a red velvet muffin. I went back to the door and let a staff member know, who was getting ready to lock the door. She stated they wanted to go home because they were open since 7 AM. Despite this, she was very accommodating and retrieved the correct item quickly. I was also happy to see that she warmed it. I ended up enjoying the roll and the buttercream flavor. The front door was locked, but there was an alternate exit that lead to the parking lot located towards the back. There was still a number of parties seated at the shop despite them closing and it did not seem like they were being rushed out, which was nice to see. Overall it was a positive experience and a well laid out shop. I would definitely return if I was in the area again, but perhaps would like to try other drink items they have to offer.
Excellent food and Frappuccino, great service. Family friendly.
