Cozy shop with local merch including upscale tshirts, sweatshirts, magnets, stickers, mugs and decor. I always stop in and purchase something when I'm in the area.
Visiting Alpena from the metro Detroit area we stopped into The Local Basket Case. The store was amazing. Not your average run of the mill souvenir shop. Everything was quality made, stylish and so reasonably priced. Griffin, one of the store owners, was so personable and full of knowledge. He informed us of some must see locations. Rockport Recreation Area in particular. Which honestly, may have been our favorite part of the entire trip. Great experience all around. We'll definitely visit everytime we are back in the area.
Amazing selection of Michigan merchandise and amazing people running it. When they were out of a couple shirts we wanted in our size, one of the owners volunteered to travel to their store in a different town to pick up the shirts. They were there the very next morning waiting for us!
I really like this store. The service is informative and friendly. The gear is Michigan based with plenty of local and state paraphernalia. There are lots of styles and colors to choose. It's a great asset to our downtown.
Such an amazing shop with great employees! I found some really cute items that were must haves! The clothing is so comfortable and all the other knick-knacks were useful and so lovely! Overall an amazing shop!

The recreation area is a old quarry and shipping dock. The area now has a boat ramp and numerous walking trails. Because of the past mining activity fossils of all kinds can be found. DNR passport required.
Always enjoyable. Actors and crew put their hearts into the performances. We've been season ticket holders since the 80s . The only downfall is accessibility for handicapped folks.
Awesome place! Oldest Miniature Golf course in the state! Someone mentioned that it is closed, that is not the case - it's only open in the summertime. Be sure to also check out The Hungry Hippie located just beside it!
What a hidden gem in my small town!!! . Absolutely amazing food . The potato soup I'm the bread bowl is literally 11/10. The food is very fresh and the staff is super nice. 10/10 most definitely recommend. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a bite
My husband and I drove here to go fishing early morning during labor day weekend. It was nice and quiet. The water was shallow so we only got bluegills. At night there's no lights and you can hear some movement in the woods it can be pretty daunting.
This store almost never disappoints. They have an excellent meat counter and a really good dips homemade. Their meatloaf mix is to die forâ£ï¸ Even though they're a small IGA, Perch's most times have everything I need. You do have to watch for date
