The Local is a good place to have a burger or appetizer. The menu is very meat focused and everything sounds very tasty. I had the cattlemens burger and it was huge. I had cheese fries (with queso) and bacon, they were delicious but also a big serving. The bar service was pretty average. The restaurant and bar were very clean and provided a nice atmosphere. This would be a great place to watch sports and take friends out for dinner. It is family friendly in the restaurant and had a good kids menu. There is healthy, vegan and gluten free options on the menu. For the area this is a good place for dinner.

Great place for a variety of goods. Fish tacos. Ceviche. Porterhouse. Burgers. Sandwiches. Servers seem a little overwhelmed, running around trying to cover more tables than they should be required to cover. Doing their best but sometimes the ball is dropped. Quality ribeye and full bar. The setting is somewhat rustic. This location has been through several previous restaurants so we are hoping this will continue operating successfully.

great burgers. 1st time, i had blue cheese and bacon. they use very thick bacon for the bacon burgers, id have preferred thinner. had the cowboy next time. perfect. good fries too

I love drinking broken plastic pieces in my water. All of our cups looked like this and my husband fished one out of his mouth. Our waitress was rude, inattentive, and threw our food down on the table when it was ready. Food was quick, however, NOT worth the price. None of us liked our dinner. We love to support local businesses, but will not be coming back here.

Our server was friendly and attentive at first, but our visit went downhill pretty quickly. He took our drink and food order fairly quickly then once we got our food we had to get the runner to grab us silverware and then ranch. She did not seem happy to grab these items for us at all. We had to flag our server down for refills and tartar sauce. I got the walleye which was over $20. It was heavily breaded and didn't have much flavor. It was edible with the tartar sauce. My husband said his burger was decent. We got an appetizer of pretzels which was the best part of our meal. After flagging our server down for refills we proceeded to wait around 45 minutes for him to return to our table with our check which we had to flag him down for again. He was running around like a chicken with his head cut off and there looked to be only maybe 3 servers in the whole restaurant. I wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt but he passed our table multiple times and 45 minutes is unacceptable to wait for him to return following our meal. We really wanted to try their dessert as it sounded really good, but did not want to wait an hour to get that. I would have notified a manager had I been able to find anyone working there without having to flag someone down. Overall the food is overpriced and mediocre at best and the service is severely lacking. Would not recommend.

We went here for a company holiday party and the food was awful. The shrimp appetizers were cold and chewy, the salmon was dry and inedible, the couscous was slimy and disgusting and the steak was so thin and overcooked and unseasoned. There were plenty of empty tables but no one came to check to see if the food was OK or anything. Near full uneaten plates of food at almost every person should have been an indicator that something was not good. The only items that were edible were the fries and the dessert.

Well this is now our favorite burger place! We just ate here for the first time and had a tremendous time. The burgers are large 1/2 pounders cooked exactly to order (medium) with a blackened outside for added flavor. I got mine with blue cheese crumbles and bacon. 🥓 We live in Helena, and will be back for more burgers next week! BTW, their tables are solid walnut, and so unique that I asked Craig where they got them. He sent over the exact source and model number. We want their large table for our own dining room. Half the food was good the other half was old and cold. The service was terrible. We were one of the few tables at the restaurant, but not served until 15 minutes of waiting and going up to the hostess to ask for a waitress. There was close to 10 employees on the floor but managed to make it seem like there was only 1-2. The restaurant had a great atmosphere. This is probably one of the only good things about it unfortunately. I have never written a review for a restaurant before but after the smug looks from the staff inclined me to do so.
