Small, but very cool!! if you love living dead movies, come here & check it out!!
Great place for all you true zombie fans!! It's in the iconic Monroeville mall where the original DAWN OF THE DEAD was filmed!! Lots of memorabilia from not just zombie films but othe iconic George Romero films as well as Evil Dead!!
I highly recommend stopping here! Great place to visit, it's inside the mall, there's plenty of parking. You can shop in the store and there is an fee for entrance to the Museum. There are a lot of different props, prop replicas, and other memorabilia in the museum. It's a must stop location.
We were SO ecstatic to visit this famous mall and the museum on our way from Ohio back to NJ. Unfortunately, all that excitement was ruined by a couple staff members who were rude, weird, and unpleasant. The management of this store should really re-evaluate the presence these employees in the store. When we approached the store and started taking pictures of the store front female employee started yelling at us do not photograph her. We even didn't see her in the beginning. The started yelling at us that we couldn't come in because the store was closed. We said OK and we will just look from outside. She kept yelling at us that they are closed and we cannot look at anything. The situation was so bizarre. Guys pay attention to their schedule because they open only Friday, Saturday, and Sunday what is strange. Also, online store doesn't offer as much good stuff as it presented in the museum store. Cannot say anything about museum itself because those two nasty store employees did not let us in
Huge fan of all things Romero, especially Dawn of the Dead. Went to Monroeville Mall to see where the magic happened and stumbled upon this little gem. Had some great props and old pieces of the mall that were in the film, among other props from The Crazies, Night of the Living Dead and Evil Dead 2 (which i know is not Romero but was a welcome sight). The employee was awesome and knowledgeable. If you love Dawn, take the tour and see bits of history.
Very cool and neat thing to see. Especially knowing they filmed the original Dawn Of The Dead here.
Tons of screen used props from multiple films (Night of the Living Dead, Mindhunter and of course Dawn of The Dead to mention a few) along with tons of info about the film's and the history of zombies. Not to mention the shed from Evil Dead 2.
It was 8 dollars to see the museum (free to walk around the shop.) I initially thought that was just a tad steep for my liking. But after going through and seeing everything in there and how cool it is to see some of that stuff, I have no complaints.
If you're into Zombies/George Romero, I highly suggest stopping and checking it out.
I really loved the museum when it was in Evans City, not so wild about the recent move to the mall. I have to say I'm really disappointed as I'm from Pittsburgh and like to support local. A friend of mine who lives in Florida would love a Pgh Zombie shirt, so I ordered one off their online store as I wasn't able to get to Monroeville recently and I figured why not have it just directly shipped out to them. I ordered and paid, waited over a week for any update. I emailed, Facebook messaged, and even called and left a voicemail requesting at least a status of my order. I received nothing in return, no phone call or message and no merch shipment. I had to file a claim with PayPal to get my money back.
Pretty unprofessional. Glad I didn't buy a ticket for the Living Dead weekend, looks like if you have a problem they just don't care. Sad really. I will no longer support this. Just beware if you are buying online or honestly anything from them, if you have an issue you won't hear back.
Fantastic museum that provides a great amount of information about the zombie film genre and displays a large amount of memorabilia and props from multiple living dead/zombie films. The gift shop has a nice selection of shirts, key chains, posters and other items for purchase and the staff were friendly and accommodating.

I canât say enough about the incredible experience my group and I had at Big Rigs BBQ during the Pittsburgh DJ Summit. From the moment we walked in, the staffâs warm welcome and exceptional customer service set the tone for a fantastic evening.
Highly recommend! This place is amazing - in large part because of the staff! Everyone working there was so kind to the kids, and we're grateful for the fun day we had. Our niece and nephew had a blast jumping from bounce house to bounce house, they
Now that I'm in Pennsylvania, this is the first Italian food store I've visited. It was an amazing visit. Yes it appears to be old school when you walk in, but that's the charisma of it. They are loaded with authentic Italian pastries as well as so m
