The Hotel is located in a great location with access to shopping, good eats, and entertainment options. It’s a very nice hotel with good amenities and friendly staff.||Like most downtown hotel’s, valet parking is available. The valet staff is one of the best we’ve experienced not only taking care of our car, but offering candid and solid recommendations. They were friendly, helpful, and genuine in conversation. ||We particularly had a great interaction with Brian C. during our stay. He made us feel important and valued and offered a great attitude during our entire visit.
We had a lovely stay at The Lindy right before Christmas. The hotel was decorated beautifully, and, without a doubt, has one of the best locations in the city. The property is conveniently located so that there is no need to rent a car and you can walk easily to the many sites that Charleston has to offer. We went to Sullivans Island and it was easy to obtain an Uber to get there as well as getting Ubers anywhere else you may need to go. The ambassadors were top-notch and this is the friendliest staff of any hotel I’ve ever encountered. ||We enjoyed dinner our first night at Lenoir which is connected to the lobby and breakfast at Handy and Hot each morning. It seems that they offer something to the hotel guests each day at 4 o’clock, which we were unaware of until our last full day. That particular day, it was a rum punch, which is a nice perk for the guests.||The reason I did not give this hotel five stars was due to the spotty housekeeping services. One day our overflowing trash pail was not emptied, and, for some inexplicable reason, a trash pail was left outside of our door after the first day, and remained there for our entire stay. Most of the time our bathroom amenities were not replaced and a piece of paper was underneath our couch from the moment we arrived until when we left. This certainly is not enough to deter a return visit as the friendly staff more than made up for this issue.||Overall, I would happily recommend a stay at this boutique hotel for its prime location and excellent staff.
This hotel is a wonderful location. We booked a King Suite as we are a family of 4.. it was HUGE with a balcony. The front desk staff and concierge are wonderful, so kind with great recommendations. The cocktails in the bar are fabulous and the bar staff are wonderful. We had an issue with the pull out bed but it was remedied with a cot and additional bedding. Highly recommend and would definitely go back.
Well located for visiting downtown Charleston. Rooms are nice. Hot and Handy convenient for a small bite. The pool area looks much larger and nicer in the photos (don't pick this hotel for the pool). The only problem I had was getting my "guaranteed" late checkout as part of my Bonvoy benefits - it's like the front desk staff had never even heard of it.
As a loyal Bonvoy Titanium member, I stayed here instead of my standby, The Charleston Place. Big mistake. The rooms are small. The bathrooms are especially small. The heat (room 625) did not work properly, so I woke up to a 62 degree room. My shower did not drain well, so I showered in a puddle, with poor pressure. There is no breakfast restaurant. On the plus-side, check-in staff was super friendly, and there’s a big bowl of lollipops by the elevator. (They are dumdums, however.). For those looking for a Bonvoy property, the Grand Bohemian across the street is superior.
Here for 3 nights . Staff was great ! Dana and Elizabeth were beyond nice ! They went out of their way to make sure we knew where to go and how to make the most of our quick trip ! The hotel is beautiful and location is great ! Walked to everything. Please take a tour and use Mike ( suggested by Dana ) . He was so good ! The staff were all just so nice, especially Dana and Elizabeth , , made us not want to leave ! Had a great stay .
The hotel was very nice. The location was great. The staff was extremely friendly. We did utilize the parking garage across the street instead of using valet, but the gentleman working the valet stand were helpful and kind. The only issue we had was the family in the adjoining room (that we didn’t know) had extremely loud children and were loud themselves. The doors didn’t help block much of the sound at all. We didn’t complain to the front desk or staff, but I’m sure they would have helped.
The concierge is awesome, and we super appreciated the gift she gave us for our anniversary. All the staff was really great, actually. And the lobby is gorgeous. Worth popping in just to see. ||We gave 3 stars for a few issues.||1. The bed was quite uncomfortable. Surprisingly, because we’ve stayed at lots of Renaissance hotels and the beds are always great. I’m wondering if that particular mattress is old because it was lumpy and felt like it needed to be replaced. ||2. The wifi never worked for us the whole time. We even spoke with tech support and they couldn’t figure it out. We’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels and don’t have any security software on our devices, but both my wife’s and my devices wouldn’t connect and we spent a good hour trying to fix it which was really frustrating. Eventually we gave up. ||To be honest, if all the beds are the same as room 322 we wouldn’t stay there again. If this was a fluke we'd love to know.
