My boyfriend and I stayed here and it was a beautiful experience. Kay was a wonderful host and served a delicious breakfast each morning. She was so accommodating even giving us a tour of the property and barn. She allowed us to use the washing machine and created a relaxed environment for us. The room was well appointed and the whole home is decorated so lovely. We will definitely be back.

I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! Beyond Excellent! My 12 year old loved the climbing tree and a visit with Sterling, their mini horse. My 15 year old loved the fireflies, finding wild turkey feathers, seeing the herons and exploring the forest and fields. My husband and I enjoyed walking the grounds, especially around their orchard and fields. Also the evening we spent on their front porch was clam, quiet and cozy. Their barn tour was a delight for our entire family. Very comfortable stay and exceptional hosts! Our hosts were kind and hospitable. They took the extra care to get to know us and how they could make our time spent with them the best it could be. They went above and beyond multiple times, which made our stay even more of a delight. We wished we could have stayed longer! Highly recommend for couples or small families. A true highlight of our trip through Michigan.

Not even the coldest temperatures of January were able to dispel the warmth of this beautiful family farm. My wife, Jill, and I truly enjoyed the timeless charm of this wonderful farmhouse and barn as shown to us through the eyes and hearts of our hosts, who like their parents, grandparents and great grandparents, have had this land and its storied past twined through their lives and souls. Well worth the visit for any that love comfort, good food and good people. Thank you, Kay and Keith, for your hospitality, and for sharing a bit of the past with us.

Kay and Keith are wonderful hosts, sharing the history of the very grand farm house. The house is super clean and the grounds are immaculate. ||The walking trails through the fields and woods are well maintained - was beautiful seeing the sun glisten on the bean fields. ||Very relaxing sitting on the porch in the evening. Breakfast was served on china with excellent presentation and absolutely delicious. ||We will be back and highly recommend The Legend Inn. ||

The Legend Inn is a charming Bed and Breakfast, located in the countryside just outside Lansing (10 minutes from all restaurants, 15 minutes at the most to downtown). The property offers some hiking trails, through woods, although we didn't get a chance to experience them. The area is truly peaceful and so beautiful. The Bed and Breakfast is a renovated 1898 farmhouse that has belonged to the innkeepers' family for 150 years. There are rooms for all types of travelers: a family suite, a room with 2 twin beds, double bed rooms, each with their own bathroom. The place was spotless, the towels fluffy, the breakfast filling and delicious. Brother and sister, Keith and Kay, have welcomed us as if we were part of the family, sitting with us for breakfast, and freely sharing the history of their house and family. We got the house tour by Kay and the barn tour by Keith, we looked at pictures of times past and pictures of the renovation project. We really hope to make our way back there some day, to experience the trails but also the beautiful and inviting wrap-around porch. Highly recommended!!

If you are planning a trip to Lansing, this is the place to stay! The rooms are a nice size, very clean, and outfitted with period antiques. Many of the antiques throughout the 1898 inn are original to the home. The decorative front porch woodwork is a replication of Ernest Hemingway's home in Massachusetts and is not original to the home but fits in perfectly. After enjoying the large porch, take a walk along the many trails surrounding the home or ask Keith for a tour of their turn of the century big red barn. Large, warm cookies awaited us in our room in the evening and the hot breakfast in the morning was excellent. Our hosts, brother and sister Kay and Keith, are happy to share their home and family's rich history. I highly recommend!!

This was such a lovely surprise. Where do I start. The first one we drove down the country Lane pulled up to the farm we were so taken by the beautiful setting this lovely Old Farm. It's set in about 400 acres of pasture land. Before even got out of the car, Kay, the Inn keeper, was out on the front porch to welcome us. Oh what are welcome. Her brother Keith was out working in the barn. He came over to greet us also, such lovely people. He gave us a grand tour of the house that he and his wife spent 10 years resoting. This was a labor of love. Farm house was built by their great grandparents and uncles in the 1800s. Last night we sat on the porch watching the fireflies having our own little firework display with Kay. And this lovely homemade breakfast this morning. This is a real farm with real people. Great time. |

Kay and Keith are most gracious hosts. The only drawback is all the rooms are upstairs if that is a problem. But one can tell that much love and care went into this B & B. Kay treated us to coffee and dessert in the evening and we enjoyed a chat. The room was very comfortable. This is a treasure nestled in the country. It is clear that they genuinely care about their guests and their hospitality is definitely a ten! The breakfast was wonderful!
