The Laylow, Autograph Collection - Hotel in Honolulu - 2299 Kūhiō Ave., USA

First impressions are everything…||At check in, some of the front desk staff was not welcoming and not informed on the in app capabilities. I had one lady argue with me that the in app room service menu was different than the menu on the QR code (which was not provided to me at check in). As a Marriott Bonvoy Elite member, they wanted to charge me $75 to get early access to my room. ||The destination and valet fee were ridiculously overpriced. With a check in at 3pm and checking out by 11am there is no time to even take advantage of the benefits that are attributed to the destination fee. The only benefit we were able to utilize was the welcome basket which was missing the chips (they were out of) and water bottles (I had to call the front desk to receive). ||I have stayed and recommended this hotel multiple times but I am not sure if I can return. The value vs service has too much disparity. My experience at the LaSalle Chicago, another Autograph collection hotel was phenomenal. The service was exceptional and they took the time to acknowledge and reward my loyalty to the Marriott brand.

Super awesome hotel in the middle of waikiki and perfectly located to walk around and explore. Room was nice and the saltwater pool is excellent. During our stay one of our door battery sensors died, and Neslie from the engineering team was quickly at our service and fixed the issue in no time—super grateful! Would definitely stay here again!

I loved my 8-might stay there. My room om the 15th floor was very stylish and comfortable. The restaurant serves a great breakfast. The pool gets a bit crowded at times, still I enjoyed my daily swim in it. Staff is nice and attentive. Perfect location in the middle of Waikiki a couple blocks from the beach, next to endless shopping and restaurants.

Our Stay at The Laylow, Autograph Collection was a memorable Experience. The staff of this hotel ensured a warmth welcoming atmosphere. Housekeeping services exceeded our expectations. Me and my partner are both particularly impressed with how well everything was. Exceptional hospitality and services during our stay. Everyone was so friendly and Attentive. Hotel are convenient location, walking distance to restaurants and shopping area. Stunning views and clean rooms. The staff of Laylow Hotel went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you for providing such a delightful stay. Will surely visit again 😊

If you’re planning a trip to Honolulu I’d highly recommend the Laylow. A family friendly hotel, the rooms were clean, the restaurant and coffee bar were convenient and delicious, the gym was well equipped and the daily activities in the morning were such a lovely addition. My kiddo and I loved making leis together. Little touches like the pool towels, sunblock by the pool, the water bottle filling station and the basket waiting for us made us feel so welcome.

We recently stayed at the Laylow for a bachelorette. The location was great on Kuhio - directly across the street from Marugame and next to International Market. There were so many places to eat around us and everything was a short walk from our hotel.||We had a rental so we utilized valet, which was $60/day plus tax. The gentlemen running the valet were very nice and got our car as quickly as possible. The longest we did have to wait was about 7 minutes and that was because the lot was full at The Laylow so the car was parked at International Market, which wasn’t that big of an issue.||Our rooms had two king beds with lanais - which we felt was enough space for our group. The rooms had walk in showers and the water was hot almost immediately which was nice. Our sink did have a bit of a slow drain, but it wasn’t terrible. The room also had a mini refrigerator. The decor was very cute and stylish. We loved the leaf patterned wallpaper and the wood accents.||Our room attendant was Nori (10th floor) and she was just absolutely wonderful !! All of our interactions with Nori was just great. She always treated us with a warm smile. We are so appreciative of her first-class hospitality and I’d love to visit Laylow again to see her.||Checking in was fast and easy - and so was checking out. ||There is a pool onsite, but we didn’t really utilize the pool. It did seem to get busy and the pool wasn’t as big as I had expected it to be.||There were several activities and treats for guests at different hours of the day. The activities were mostly attended by younger guests and we weren’t able to partake in the activities.||We went to The Hideout’s coffee bar one morning. There was a bit of the wait to place an order, as well as to receive the order. Granted it looked like there were only two people working the coffee area at around 10am when we stopped by.||There were two elevators to go to the rooms on the higher levels. The wait for the elevators were a bit long, but given that the hotel is fairly old (but newly removed into the Laylow - I’ve stayed at the Aqua Waikiki Wave twice before in the past) so I wasn’t surprised.

Great ‘off the beach’ hotel in Waikiki. One block back from the Waikiki beach so you have a little tranquility at the hotel. Adjacent to the International Marketplace so super convenient to shops and eating establishments. The main lobby and restaurant are one floor up from the street which gives a sense of elegance and relaxing atmosphere. Great pool!

The hotel is typical older property within Waikiki beach area (2 blocks from the beach). It is near a lot of shopping and dining. The hotel is quite dated, so was the room. Old warned out carpets not very clean (dust and stains), shower enclosure/fixtures are somewhat updated but the walls are wallpapered. The rooms have a little balcony however it is unusable due to constant loud AC/parking garage noise. The rooms have no coffee machines. The pool is super small, hallow and very crowded. The hotel advertises welcome basket of local goods; it consisted of $0.05 rubber duck and flimsy flip-flops (doubtfully locally made)and little piece of chocolate. The towels and bed sheets were clean which is the only plus. However, the biggest issue was one of the beds. The mattress was so worn out and sagging that it was hard to sleep on (the shagginess was from the side that was accessible), I kept sliding out and was not able to get a good night sleep for 5 nights. I reported the issue to the receptionist after the first night, who said someone would look into it but nothing happened.
