We had a lovely stay at the Lawson House for two nights. It was only a 10 minute drive to our friends' house and was the most affordable option in the area. Our room was large with an updated bathroom and most of the amenities you would find at a hotel, including travel-size complimentary shampoo/conditioner/soap/lotion and a mini-fridge. We found everything to be very clean with tasteful decorations. The air conditioning in our room worked very well and was a welcome reprieve from the summer humidity. The continental breakfast had a variety of things to choose from and we were very satisfied with our meal. Monica was very helpful and accommodating to our weird check-out time. We would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed every aspect of our stay. We had quality time with family in the gathering room. Monica and Helen are exceptional hosts! ❤️🥰💜

The Lawson House B & B is a delightful, historic home with old road maps, books, and framed pictures and advertisements that are from the 1920's (and possibly older). The New York Room, which we stayed in, was large, clean, and comfortable; it gave us the feeling of going to our loving grandma's house when we were kids. The window air conditioner was very adequate in keeping the room cool (we stayed for five nights at the end of July). We had free access to the large living room and front porch for lounging and reading. We enjoyed the large trees on the property and the park close by. Monica (who took the lead) and Helen are wonderful hostesses--the breakfasts were great, and we especially enjoyed Monica's friendliness and fellowship. We have family who live in and close to Hales Corners, as well as in Milwaukee, so we would plan to stay here again when we come to visit.

We stayed in the Wisconsin room for 3 nights while in town for a weeding (and a friend stayed in the Prairie room for a couple of nights). I can't say enough about Monica and Helen's hospitality! Great conversation and stories and wonderful food!||||First off, the B&B is charming and very well taken care of. It was not very clutter-y and the common areas were very comfortable. The front porch was very nice! The rooms were clean and the Wisconsin room had a huge bathroom. The bed was a bit noisy, but VERY comfortable. ||||Breakfast in the morning was wonderful. During the week, it's more of a continental type breakfast- hard boiled eggs, yogurt, cereal and pastries. On Saturday and Sundays, it's a full breakfast that includes a breakfast dessert! Always a winner in my book! We also had freshly baked cookies one afternoon, along with some refreshing lemonade that was perfect after a morning of being out and about.||||The B&B is well located by the botanical gardens and only 15-20 minutes from downtown and the other spots we visited (Pabst Mansion and the Miller brewery). It's only about 15 minutes from the airport as well.||||I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

Our club booked the Lawson House for our overnight Christmas party rather than staying in a local hotel. The Craftsman style house was decorated beautifully and the Innkeepers Monica and Helen, were very accommodating. The only drawback is there is no bathroom on the first floor, they are all upstairs by or in the bedrooms. If you don't have a problem with stairs, I would not hesitate staying here. The morning breakfast of quiche, stuffed French toast, sausages etc. was delicious. We already booked the property for next year's party.

I was able to book one of the three rooms here after being put on a wait list by Monica, who then called me and said there had been a cancellation. This was great news, because the two chain hotels I was considering as alternatives looked very generic and uninteresting. The day before my arrival I was emailed the door code and found a welcome letter and key on the table inside. I stayed in the Wisconsin Room, which was very roomy and very comfortable. I appreciated the fact there was a room air conditioning unit that kept the temperature comfortable in the somewhat muggy weather in June. It also blocked out noise that might have been audible from the busy city street in front of the house.||||The house itself is charming and tastefully furnished in an Arts and Crafts style. And Monica was a very personable and warm hostess, even carrying my large suitcase from the second floor landing down rthe stairs for me the morning I left.

I was looking for a "home away from home"-type place to stay for my trip to the Hales Corners/ Muskego/ Milwaukee area. Several reviews on Trip Advisor indicated that this was what I was looking for, and they were spot on.||||The house is easy to find and easy to get to. There was some construction on the road a little south of the house, but it didn't pose any problems. The house is relatively isolated (considering it is in the city) and is located near Witnall Park (a treasure). There are restaurants, pubs, grocery and drug stores, and churches of many denominations near by and all easily accessible by car and some by foot.|| ||The room was quaint and quiet. I stayed in the New York room. The only thing that could have been lacking was the T.V. It was small by current standards and didn't have very good reception. The overall homey atmosphere of the place completely made up for this, though. The common areas were charming and I found them to be the perfect places to read and write. The other guests that I met were polite, interesting, and were obviously there for the same B&B experience that I was looking for.||||The weekend breakfasts were fantastic. During the week, a less formal fare is available and, although not cooked to order, was more than adequate. ||||My host (Monica) ensured worked hard to ensure my stay was a pleasant one and was made accommodations for my schedule where necessary. ||||I expect I will return to the area again in the future, and I will surely stay again at the Lawson House.

I stayed on a Thursday with my mother. We went to see China Lights at Boerner Botanical Gardens, about 10 minutes away. Monica was a warm and congenial host and we enjoyed chatting with her at breakfast, along with the other guests. The place is beautiful with exquisite craftsmanship, clever interior decorating, and a comfy ambience throughout. Our bedroom (New York) was a pleasant (warm enough) temperature and the bathroom was very nice. We enjoyed all of the NYC themed items in the room.||||At a nightly cost in the low $90s with tax and all, on a weeknight, this is a tremendous value.

Good food, freshly made, courteous staff. They do, during rush dinner hour, get backed up - both inside and drive-thru. Congrats to this location on having a diverse staff- good to see. Great custard options - Snickers Concrete mixer is my favorite!
