The last resort, formally the gateway motel, is a very budget friendly spot for a quality stay. It is perfectly located if you prefer to visit Silver Lake but also enjoy a quiet setting. There are both Sunset and Sunrise views here. The new owners have done a lot to improve the property and could not be more accommodating.
Very cozy motel! We stayed here while we were spending the weekend at the sand dunes, quick drive from the dunes back to the motel. Also like 3 minutes from downtown Hart, which is a cute little town to explore! Pleasantly surprised on what a little gem this place actually is. Our room was clean, seen no bugs, the sheets looked and smelled clean and towels were nice and clean too! They had activities outside and had a bonfire that night. Definitely will be staying again!
Took a chance on this motel for a place to stay during a bike trip. We'd never stayed here before, but the new management has clearly done a ton of work remodeling based on what we saw vs the older reviews. The room was clean and comfy and the staff was friendly and funny. It also cost MUCH less than the hotel where we stayed last time. We will definitely be back!
I can’t say enough great things about this place. The owner is such an awesome person with a kind warming soul I just love her. Its under new owners and they made the is place look amazing. Her rooms are very clean updated and so cute. We definitely will be coming back!! 10/10 recommended on staying here. You won’t regret it. I know I didn’t.
I booked a last minute trip to the area. This place did not disappoint. I like that it's out of town by 3ish miles. It was cozy, clean and newly renovated. The new owners are just as charming as the establishment itself. Carrie and Nick were beyond helpful and accommodating! Next year we will be back as we are making Mac Dunes buggy rides our annual family tradition! Thanks 😊! Next year I hope we don't miss the comedy night. Hahaha.

They just bought this place not too long ago theyre remodeling and everything is brand new its nothing like what youd expect out of a motel im very extra so i check every nook and cranny no bugs except the occasional lady bugs beautiful atmosphere they have a kid area for the kids to play its kid safe tv bolted down and all to prevent any injury i can gladly say this place is absolutely amazing come to this location and enjoy your stay sincerely one of the guest
Such a great place to stay! Cora was fantastic, she was totally understanding when I had to call ahead and tell her we would be arriving after check-in, and she was just overall very nice. The room was great, very comfortable bed and a cute aesthetic
This place is really nice and we had a ride in the âavâ(not sure of the name of the vehicle). The ride was well organized and we get to leave our kids to play in a play area until our name is called. The guide explained quite a few things to us.
