Every detail of our stay was so remarkable; it’s hard to know where to start: The Lancaster Manor is a beautiful lady - gorgeously restored and meticulously maintained. She has an elegant welcoming, yet upscale, vibe; dripping with the perfect touch of good ole southern hospitality. ||The pride of ownership is evident everywhere on this property. The rooms are unique and spot-on in their decor (nothing modern visible in the rooms - no fridge - no tv). Supremely comfortable beds - the linens - superior to any B&B where we have previously stayed. In fact, those sheets were so amazing that Ms. Connie was able to arrange for us to order a set for home - which we did!||The rooms are spotless - the owners inspect each room daily and the standard of cleanliness is the absolute best we’ve encountered at any B&B. They provide a true turn-down service every night with a lovely treat. ||Just outside the rooms, in the large landing, there is a fully stocked fridge and coffee bar and Ms. Connie keeps a special home-baked treat for guests to enjoy in this comfy seating area. ||The first floor of the Manor is really special from the inviting living room to the elegant dining room and the dreamy huge spotlessly clean kitchen. The solarium, where breakfast is served each day is just…awesome. The Butler’s pantry where private dinners for two are held is really a sweet romantic spot. ||The outside area is meticulously maintained by Pastor John. The gardens are pretty and the hot tub is a delight. The pool is fantastic and it’s a really nice place just to sit by after supper and enjoy the waterfall. The grounds are large and set up with the typical lawn games such as corn hole or even bocce ball!||Now to the meals - we literally loved every single thing we ate. If you don’t order the dinner service - you will weep with regret when the aroma from the kitchen comes out to play. Both of these owners are accomplished chefs and the dining experience here is, frankly, divine. ||We ordered the beautifully plated and delicious charcuterie for our arrival. We also had the steak dinner - I literally have no words for the cornucopia of flavors - best meal ever. Ms. Connie is a culinary genius - she takes simple fresh ingredients and elevates them until you find your tastebuds in a symphony of bliss. ||Pastor John’s specialty is breakfast and wowza - he delivers! Every bite was pure perfection. The meal was a perfect balance of savory and sweet with rich homemade goodness at its core. Coffee was outstanding - overall, a phenomenal experience. We brought home some of their amazing granola and a jar of preserves. ||Don’t even get me started on the banana bread. Ms. Connie is famous for it and we just had to bring a loaf home!||Honestly, we have stayed in many B&Bs (and even got married at a “famous” one) and have never written a review because they just didn’t meet expectations - however,|I am compelled to write this review because of the exceptional quality of our stay - Connie and John are the quintessential Texas hospitality experts and should lead a masterclass on the right way to run a B&B. ||We have a return trip planned, and our kids are flying in, to join us at the Lancaster Manor for an early Christmas celebration. Wish the Manor was not sold out that night because our family would’ve booked all of the rooms. It’s just that special!
This is a hidden gem in a city that may not see many tourists. The owners and chefs, John and Connie, were amazing!!!! They were very welcoming and hospitable! Check in was a great experience! They greeted us, took us into the kitchen to get our breakfast orders and treated us to some complimentary glasses of wine and homemade banana nut bread. Upstairs, they had a small table with complimentary small, chocolate pastries. We stayed in the Rose Room that had a king bed and a fire place! The following morning, our breakfast consisted of a small mixed fruit cup over a bed of Greek yogurt and topped with homemade granola. For our main breakfast I had a large omelet with all the fixings plus a side of sausage, and my wife had the eggs Benedict with smoked salmon and a side of bacon. Bear in mind, John and Connie are chefs, so the breakfast was world class!!! They also treated us to some homemade biscuits with homemade plum and Dutch apple pie jellies. To top our breakfast off, they made us two banana nut pancakes with organic New Hampshire maple syrup. Like I said, this breakfast was world class, and from what I have heard about other B&B experiences, this is the kind of breakfast you won’t find at any other American B&B! I highly recommend a trip up to Gainesville, Tx just to experience this wonderful, quaint, and surprisingly upscale B&B that has elements of fancy combined with a down home country demeanor!
We recently stayed at The Lancaster Manor Bed and Breakfast and had an exceptional experience. The Manor is a beautifully restored and meticulously maintained property, offering a unique blend of elegance and Southern hospitality. One of the highlights of our stay was the level of comfort provided in the rooms-the most important part of B&B. With luxurious linens, supreme comfort, and spotless cleanliness, the rooms are impeccably maintained. The attention to detail is evident, and the owners take great pride in providing a high-quality experience for their guests. The owners, John and Connie, are the epitome of gracious hosts. From the moment you step through the front door, they make you feel like family, adding a personal touch to every aspect of your stay. Their warmth and hospitality are unparalleled. And then there's the breakfast - oh, the breakfast—the best part of B&B. Come hungry and ready for something great. Our breakfast consisted of Greek yogurt with fruit, biscuits, pancakes, bacon, and an omelet. I’m unable to describe how truly great breakfast was. In summary, The Lancaster Manor is not just a place to stay; it's an experience. The combination of comfort, exceptional food, and warm hospitality makes it a standout destination. For anyone looking for a memorable truly European-style Bed and Breakfast experience, we highly recommend it.
John and Connie, your place was so amazing! It was a great place for our second honeymoon after our 25th anniversary vowel renewal ceremony. You are both professionals at preparing your foods and running one of the most amazing bed and breakfasts we have ever been too! The food was very delicious and wholesome. The room was so amazing and beautiful! The spa was clean relaxing! We were also very blessed to be able to spend time at your place!
We celebrated our 29th anniversary dinner at Lancaster Manor last night. It was a wonderful experience! The 4-course meal was 5 stars as well as the service from Jon and Connie. Thank you for the top notch hospitality and excellent care taken to all detail in The Lancaster Manor!
We paid for 2 nights and stayed one. We felt rushed off because the next day they were having a 50 person tea party and it was suggested that we not be there. We were unable to relax after our 9 hour trip and unable to enjoy the amenities, ie: hot tub, pool, porch anything. We had a beautiful dinner the first night and a great breakfast the next morning but felt rushed out as the wife kept coming in when we were talking with her husband, as if to say, hurry up, scoot. We stayed less than 24 hours because we had no place to really stay after breakfast. We tried to fill in the gaps of time with shopping and sight seeing but we were so very tired and just want to relax. We decided to go home and drive 9 hours becauses we just didn't feel welcome. A lot of money wasted and my husband worked very hard to pay for this trip. We are both disappointed.
Absolutely loved staying here. We found this location by accident just looking for a hotel to stay in after a concert at Winstar. Staying here turned our night out into a vacation and we were completely spoiled with fresh baked treats and the most amazing breakfast. Can’t wait to go back again. Treat yourself to this hidden gem! 💎 You deserve it!
It was our second time to stay here, and it was just as incredible as the first! Hosts Connie and John take care of everything and ensure your stay is relaxing, peaceful, delicious, worth every penny, and just all-around wonderful. The breakfast is scrumptious! Tons to choose from, all made to order! Lots of other little amenities as well like homemade brownies upon arrival and a keurig in the common area. It is just exquisite all around. TRULY FULL SERVICE! We can't wait to stay here again!
