The Knolls at Inglewood Hill - Featured Reviews (204)
The worst apartment complex I've ever lived at.
- They raised my rent by $810 my last month there in order to go month to month. It went from $2530 to $3340. I lived there 3 years and they raised my rent by $100 at the end of every lease.
- They towed my car, or rather my mom's car. The car did need to get moved, but what I have a problem with is how they stuck a note on it and towed it within 25 hours. They didn't make any effort whatsoever to contact me. Also there were broken down cars in the lot that had been there for years whereas mine had been there only 5 months or so.
- What I think happened with the car is that they got new a new manager who was trying to clean up the place. In 3 years they went through 3 managers. They're owned by a property management company on the east coast. Don't be like me, expect them to be jerks and you won't get a rude surprise like I did when management behaves differently.
- This complex doesn't support electric vehicles very well. The only way to get an outlet is to rent a garage for $150. I learned the hard way that there's 2 garages/circuit, and I just happened to share a circuit with another EV owner and so the breaker tripped on me over the weekend. Also the garages won't open without power so my car was trapped in there over the weekend and maintenance wouldn't open it back up for me until Monday during the day. While that initial incident sucked I was able to work with management to get a different garage, but there's still the fact that the same thing could happen again to somebody else because they don't keep track of which garages have electric vehicles. Heck, they didn't even keep records on vehicles period until after they towed my car.
In general this complex wasn't perfect but it was ok. The maintenance staff did a good job fixing my dishwasher. That hill is pretty brutal, getting the mail was a real workout. We did have a parcel room thief and they had to change to code on the room 4 times because one of the residents kept giving it to that guy but they eventually caught the dude. The parcel companies are pretty bad, they do indeed leave packages on the floor but that only happened to me about 5% of the time.
I would rate zero if I can, absolutely.
After reading a lot of 5 star reviews about this apartment, I decided to share my experience of living here for two years.
When I moved in, many things in the room were broken and not repaired at I moved out, and there was a lot of paint and stains on the floor on the balcony.
Most companies such as UPS, Fedex, Amazon, they will not deliver package to front door, instead they will simply leave everyone's package on the floor in a room next to the leasing office. I need to keep an eye on the status of package and pick it up in time. For this reason I had to rent a UPS mailbox to receive important and valuable packages to prevent them lost.
When I moved out, I asked the property management staff many times for the final bill and statement, but they didn't give it to me. I didn't know until a few weeks after I moved out that they listed a large amount charge and sent to a debt collection agency named "National Credit Systems" to collect these debts from me. The collector told me that after deducting the deposit, I still owe them a lot of money.
Please note they have not communicated with me and provide any bill details before sent to collection agency, no phone calls, no emails, no letters to me. I know nothing until collector give me a surprise.
Anyway I would not recommend this apartment to anyone.
Victoria, the property manager, helped us a lot lot during our move. We were expecting pack n move services to show up but they didn't. However, Victoria went above and beyond and she literally moved our stuff to the new apartment. Great personality, customer obsessed and quickly responds to any type of query. Thanks alot for your service Victoria! By far the great place/apartments we've lived.
Staff is amazing. They are so kind, professional and curtiouss. Kylie is just a gem. Prompt, honest and polite. The application was a breeze. The approval took no time at all. Everything was throughouly explained in detail. The apartments are great for the price and within walking distance of trails, grocery and restaurants. Awesome experience. 👌
⚠️‼️NOT TRUSTWORTHY, Horrible management, once we put down money they went crickets!!! When touring they were responsive and even desperately keeping in contact to make sure we put down our money. Telling us that the rent will go up unless we put down money now. We felt extremely rushed by Karli. Then when we sat back into the office after touring, she magically found another unit that was better and way cheaper than the other two we just toured. She made it seem too good to be true and said she can’t promise us this offer will stay and prices might go up unless we put down our money. We went home, and that same day after putting down our money, rent for our unit magically went up by 100/month. Karli made the excuse that in the short 30 mins in between the money being put down and our applications actually processing, rent magically went up but will be doing us a favor and “honoring” the agreed price. She let us know that she will send us our lease back on September 23rd. Then at the end of the day emailed us saying she couldn’t make time for it and we should expect it the follow Monday. Then nothing, crickets for weeks. We tried calling and no one reached back out to us. They told us we could get a refund of our money if we request it 24 hours after putting it down. However, how were we supposed to know they’d go crickets on us after that 24 hour period. We didn’t receive a lease, and had to give our current landlord notice for vacancy on the first of OCT. We didn’t feel confident in the Knolls management team nor were we keeping our hopes up for that lease. Then TWO DAYS before said move in, on OCT 07, they rise from the dead and let us know to set up our Puget sound energy starting on SEP 22 When we were going to move in on OCT 07 - this is crazy. Karli comes back with an excuse of being on vacation… however, one person going on vacation shouldn’t have delayed our lease by weeks. Horrible communication from Karli and management. Then on move in day Karli calls us saying we need to delay move in because maintenance didn’t clean the place… I’m sorry what? This is the worst management team ever. She also gladly pointed the finger at the maintenance team in her message. She then let us know that according to the “fair housing laws” we couldn’t get our money back. However this is just another one of their excuses, where in the fair housing laws does it say that?? And since any other landlord/apartment said we could get our money back as well if we didn’t end up signing our lease. I DONT recommend working with them. The whole time we felt rushed and scammed.
Absolutely a great place to live with a very supportive staff. I'm always willing to help ever need it The groundsman does an amazing job of keeping up and beautifying the property.
It was a great place to live for six months! Nice and caring neighbors! The entire staff at Knolls were kind, helpful and fantastic!
I submitted a request for a replacement garbage disposal and the very next business day it was completed. I appreciated their speed and efficiency with handling this problem.
