I have traveled to a lot of places and have been blessed to dine at some amazing restaurants. With that being said... Wilmington, NC area restaurants are setting the bar high for great places to eat. One rule of thumb is to embrace the holistic experience of a restaurant by walking around and viewing the decor. The Kitchen Sink is one of the great places to dine at. They have great decor, great staff and an amazing atmosphere. The Shrimp and Grits (Which were off the chain) had a great spicy kick to wake you up for the day...HELLO! My wife ordered Guava Monte Cristo and loved it. If you are visiting Wilmington, NC make sure to visit The Kitchen Sink and enjoy a good dining experience!!!! Let me know if you think The Kitchen Sink is a great place to dine. I will see you there!!!
Our food was excellent! We had the Beef on Weck and the Get Smashed. Cucumber salad was awesome. Unfortunately the service was absolutely awful. We arrived about 1:15 and the place was packed. Checked out the back patio just in case we needed to sit outside. We ordered and found a seat in the front part of the restaurant. The table of 6 beside us was just getting their food. They ate and left. When we noticed the people who had come in long after we ordered and sat down at the same table, then got their food I went to the cashier to inquire why we had not received our food. She had our ticket, but could not give us an explanation of why we were still waiting for our food even though people who came in after we were seated were eating. By the time we finished eating we were the only people left in the restaurant. Not one other person except staff was there.
Loved the food!! I got the beef on weck and my girl got the Nashville hot chicken. Both were so incredible. Also, you have to try the soup flight! The soups were beyond delicious and you get to try 4 of them. Additionally, the service was excellent and the atmosphere of the building is that old but new feel. Loved it all and will be back!
We were first-timers today.
The muffaletta was very delicious, I just wish there had been more of that yummy olive salad on it. The tallow fries were great, too. The beef on weck was tender, yummy, and fresh, but WAY too small for the high price! The cucumber salad was also very fresh but seemed to have virtually no seasoning. It was good once we added salt and pepper.
Sadly, I can not give the service high marks because we had none. Although the staff was friendly, we had to order at the counter, pick up at the counter, serve our own drinks, and get our own condiments, napkins, and plasticware. For a high-priced bistro that asks for a tip upfront, we were very disappointed. In spite of the tasty food, from now on we will probably eat anywhere BUT The Kitchen Sink.
Six of us ate here for lunch after a local walking tour in the area. It's a great soup and sandwich shop (and salads too).
You can order a bowl of soup or a flight of soup (four small bowls of different soups).
I decided on the sweet and savory sandwich with a cup of mushroom bisque. It was one of the specials soups of the day. It was fantastic!
One of my friends ordered The Goat and we split our sandwiches to share. I enjoyed both, but I think the Goat was my favorite.
I liked the interior, especially the herb garden wall. And very friendly service.
Prices are on the high end with the portions you get but the quality is there.
What a great meal. Wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but my experience was great. The food was very fresh, you could tell it was made with love and from scratch, and the open concept restaurant was very inviting and felt like you’re dining at a best friends house. I loved watching the chefs do their thing while I waited on my meal. They even have a gnarley vegetable wall in the front of the restaurant, life goals. I’ll be back!
We had a good experience. The Tallow Fries and Nonnas Meatball Sub was great. Their service was friendly and helpful. Laid back cool vibe atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. They offer some beers and wine as well as non alcohol drinks. Also a kids menu
Loved the atmosphere and staff was very personable. Parking might be rough but it's worth a small walk for the food here. Great food, good pricing, and AMAZING fries! Wish there was one closer to home.
Amazing local ingredient prioritizing craft kitchen serving up delicious cocktails and menu items. Amazingly comfortable and beautiful setting, amazing service. Highly recommended.
Great place to get a bite to eat and talk with friends over a game. My wife and I went on a spur of the moment decision, and we were so glad we did. The food was very good (if slightly expensive) and the service was perfect. Everyone played Battleshi
We had the best server you could ask for. Courtney was fantastic. She was friendly and always made sure that we had everything we needed. She definitely wasn't lacking . If you could request servers I would definitely ask for her. The food she recomm
Nice ambience. Delicious meal. Kind people. And pleasant bartender. I went to see a friend perform music. I stayed and enjoyed conversation with locals and a steak and shrimp meal.
I almost forgot about the eggnog milkshake. Bought 4 so I could have one for the long trip south. They are so good! Get yourself one before the season ends.
I thoroughly enjoyed this cookout mainly because the staff were so very friendly. Southern hospitality at it's finest. That just goes to show you that when I am greeted with a warm smile and a happy attitude: makes the food taste better! Happy Than

I joined MissionFit in October 2023 and have absolutely loved the classes and the community! The coaches are all knowledgeable and approachable, the members are super nice and supportive of each other, and the workouts are great. I like that there's
Page and Larry are the best hosts! What a quaint bed and breakfast with delicious meals!! They went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed for a weekend getaway. When we decided to go to the beach one day they even lent us their coole
This place is so cute, I love the dinosaur theme, and the staff is so friendly. I got the salted caramel shaken espresso and it was so good. My husband's roasted marshmallow coffee was also very good and had a cute toasted marshmallow on it. The back
Canât say enough good things about Unleashed! Hands down the cleanest and most organized gym in town with no shortage of equipment. Kilo plates galore, every cable attachment your heart could desire and just an all around great lifting environment.
I have been free diving my entire life. I walked into Markâs store at 46 years old with my 16 yo daughter to get her set up for a skin diving trip to Costa Rica. This is the best shop I have been to in my life. Seriously. The staff were so nice th
You can't beat a coffee shop that not only offers great coffee and great service, but they also offer the opportunity to support a great cause. The Roastery is a perfect little spot to meet with friends, clients, or get some work done. Easy to say th
Was not able to attend my church for 2 Sundays so I watched PVMC on wect. Loved it. I attend watha Methodist church, now watha Christian church family.
I've been a repeat visitor at Stemmerman's for going on 4 years now. I'm always astonished how this lovely inn isn't more popular than it is. Though for selfish reasons I must admit I wouldn't want my secret becoming too sought-after. Fran the inn
The bar keep Josh was amazingly nice, I told him that I wanted a fruity drink with white liquor only. Stepped away from the bar and came back to suck a yummy drink. It was so good that I ordered another one. The atmosphere was so laid back, with smok
Loved my visit to The Getaway! The service was wonderful and friendly. Food was out of this world. Best Parmesan fries Iâve ever tried. Grilled cheese and soup on a cold, rainy day was delicious and comforting. Chocolate chip cookie was fabulousâ¦
