The Jalapeno Tree - Mexican restaurant in Mineola - 416 E Broad St, USA

We were here with a large group on a Monday night. Service was very good, especially in light of coming without notice. Food was solid. I had the spinach enchilada with sour cream sauce. The dish was good, not necessarily "out of this world good" but good. If you are in Mineola, I recommend dining here.

Great Mexican food and friendly atmosphere. I got the shrimp enchiladas with rice. Pretty good. The classic bean and cheese nachos are awesome. Fajita butter is also awesome to go with any meal. Definitely recommend. Karl worked at the bar and was very friendly and attentive.

Ordered online,given a pick up time. Ignored at window. Go in ignored there too. Manager asked if needed help then disappeared and never came back. Food ice cold and missing part of the order. Total fail on multiple levels.

This is an OK Tex-Mex establishment. It has never been on the top of my go-to list, but food and service were good. The freshly made tortillas, I think, is what makes this a competitive restaurant. Good chips, but for my Texas preference, the salsa was not the best. The fajitas were OK, not the best but not bad either.

I would definitely go again. My shrimp dish was amazing and so was my margarita.

This feels like one of the only restaurants in town because they are busy every single night. There’s always a wait. The hot sauce tasted very chilly powdery and I didn’t like it. They also give you a side of avocado ranch with your chips, which was really good. The chips were very good. I got a spinach with sour cream, enchilada and rice and beans on the side. The rice and beans were good and the enchilada had too much sour cream sauce on it. Our waitress was very prompt and kind. She did a great job of taking our order, and our food came out promptly and warm. The restaurant was decorated with bright Mexican colors, and was fun! There’s also a bar and television. Overall, this is a very popular place in Mineola! They also have an soft serve ice cream machine.

Go see Karl at the bar fro great service! Killer old school bean and cheese nachos . Fresh made corn tortillas!!! Try the fajita butter ! Everything I have ever ordered has been awesome

Food wasn't bad at all, service was very friendly, margarita was on point. I like the sister restaurant better. But not bad
