Great location right next to the ocean. The grounds are kept up nicely. We did yoga in the morning while the sun came up. Riding the bike that the hotel provides down the coast was very fun. The Room was a bit small but adequate, clean and fairly priced. The staff was friendly and helpful.
Honestly this place massively exceeded expectations. Stayed here for 2 nights to start out the beginning of our honeymoon on Kauai. The ocean front room was definitely worth the extra cost and was a mere 15 yards from the ocean. Room had nice air conditioning and comfortable beds. Outdoor patio was great to have in the morning to watch the sunrise. The free water bottles, breakfast, and bikes were some great additional features. Front desk staff was extremely caring as well and offered to watch our bags as we went to grab a bite to eat after checkout before heading down to Poipu. Great location around some fantastic restaurants and food trucks as well. For those looking for a great location and price to explore the island, this place is perfect for that.
We enjoyed our stay on the coast in an Ocean View room. The facility is older and fairly basic but clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a destination resort, this is not that. If you want a clean, functional base of operations as you enjoy the island of Kauai, this worked well. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Reasonable price for a reasonably nice facility. We would stay here again.
Staying at the ISO, aptly named for island, sky, and ocean, provides an immersive experience of all three. The ocean-facing rooms capture refreshing sea breezes in winter, creating an amazing and cool nighttime temperature. The added perks include daily yoga at 7 am, complimentary breakfast, and a local favorite dinner spot, the Bull Shed. Highly recommended, especially for couples or first-time visitors, as it's conveniently located near an ABC store, food trucks, and a bike path. The free bikes provided by the hotel are a great touch. Loved my stay here and can't wait to visit again!
We love this place. We got a bottom room and could sleep with the door open and hear the ocean- There are a fireplace in the evening and a pool ( not so heatet) but we still jumped in- Yoga classes and you get a free water bottle reusable which is much better for the environment. We could stay longer and will recommend it for people who love the nature and want to sleep out to the sea:)
We were very comfortable. Rooms were in good repair, bed was comfortable. We got probably the “worst” room tucked in by the pool and the laundry but as you can see from the photos it’s fine. There are better rooms right on the ocean I guess. Breakfast is like what someone brought back from Costco. Local businesses are close and plentiful. Good jumping off place for north and south of the island. Bike rental is cute. Yoga is fun. Internet was horrible. Staff was fine. Chickens were more visible than the staff. Overall 4/5 is an accurate score. If you are looking for 5 star resort and you have the money you won’t like this. If you want clean and reasonable and a nice stay, you can’t do better. Would stay again.
We stayed for 9 nights at The ISO and we have nothing but good to say about it. The room was immaculately kept, we had the very best ocean view we could ask for, and we were able to request maid service as we needed it. Our king bed was very comfortable, the perfect firm that we like. We enjoyed the daily yoga class offered - Kori Ann was an excellent teacher. The continental breakfast was a nice surprise to us, and saved us a lot on dining expenses as a result. I also appreciated free usage of bicycles, and we were even able to bike all the way to Lydgate Beach, how convenient and fun! There is a restaurant associated with this property, and I was concerned about the noise level, but I needn't have been because it was not noisy at all. This location was within walking distance of shopping, ice cream, laundromat, coffee shops. Highly recommend staying at The ISO and will do so when we return to Kauai!
Amazing place to stay during Kauai trip
- awesome sunrise views of the ocean from the room
- everything was very clean and comfy
- you can rent bikes (for free!) and cruise along the coast
- the (free!) yoga classes in the morning were a great start into the day
- best location to stay in Kauai
I stayed here with my family for five days and loved it. We definitely want to come back!
If youâre expecting luxury, you might be disappointed, but I would recommend this place to anyone else. The suites are fully stocked, roomy, clean and there are lots of cute little shops within walking distance. Truly felt like a home away from hom
I had the pleasure of visiting CrossFit Kapaa recently, and I must say, it was nothing short of amazing! From the moment I walked through the doors, I could sense the energy and enthusiasm that permeated the entire facility.

Beautiful waterfall; well worth the effort to get there. Expect 8 miles (4.5hrs minimum) of hiking on unpaved rocky terrain. You will need to cross about 4 large rivers. Bring plenty of water and food.
There are restrooms at Hanakapiai beach.
Nice trail to walk along. A number of years ago I also rented a tandem bike for my wife and I and it was really fun as well. I'm not sure if they still rent the bikes now because I didn't see people riding them on our walk. You can't beat the view

Beautiful peaceful forest it is pretty well kept and there were several Rudrakshas on the ground they have a lovely small Ganesh temple at the end of the bamboo tunnels. It does get a bit muddy and slick wear appropriate shoes. The path is also mostl
The place is very picturesque, a beautiful beach with a wonderful view of the ocean. A very good idea is a fenced pool with emerald-colored sea water. Very convenient for families with small children. Very clean area. Quite windy. Nearby there i
Loved watching sunrise here! Very few people further south down the beach and easy parking access right off the road. Ideal spot to take in the waves and dawning of a new day.
The location is within walking distance of Coconut Marketplace and is across the street from a Safeway and some other stores. It is also right next to a pharmacy so you have basically everything you could need for staying. The kitchen area is very la
I recently discovered the delightful Kountry Kitchen restaurant in Kapaa, Lihue, and let me tell you, it's a breakfast lover's paradise!
