Awesome nature center in the middle of Liberty State Park. Building by famous architect Michael Graves (1934-2015), beautifully restored with beautiful and informative exhibits. Located amid great wetland surroundings with lovely trails.
This is a small place inside the Liberty State Park. Nevertheless, its displays are all interactive that engage kids' senses and creativity. There are puzzles, matches, and even carefully placed craft activities.
Adorable center filled with interesting tidbits, friendly staff, a small Monarch butterfly nursery, and binoculars for watching wildlife. The AC is a godsend and makes this a great stop to have on a day of exploring Liberty State Park.
It was super cool to see some of the stuff you can find around the park (like local fish) also the desk greeter/caretaker, Peggy, was an absolute delight and deserves a raise or something because you can tell she absolutely loves her job and cares about both the guests and the nature center.
I like small nature centers like this one. Short, sweet, full of info!
Recently rebuilt after storm damage. The facility is very nice and well kept. There are rooms for exhibits and conferences. There are some nice displays of water fowl and fish. One tank with native live fish. Also a large map of the estuary and descriptions of native habitat. Educational for young kids and adults. Free parking across the road.
Knowledge staff and friendly, learned a lot about the Jersey City area

This place is amazing. Great Coffee and really high quality sandwiches, all for the same price or even less expensive than Starbucks (and less crowded). Awesome bakery stuff too. Canât recommend it enough.
