Dirty hotel. Could have nice lake views if the windows weren’t covered with cobwebs, bugs and bird poop. Feels moist in the hotel. Carpet seems dirty to walk on barefooted. Continental breakfast is one of the more minimal spreads I’ve seen. But if you like cereal, they have some variety if you get down early enough. Rates are way too high for what this hotel is and you get the feeling like the staff thinks they’re doing you a favor to let you stay. Only good thing about this place is location. The wharf I nice and the ship next door is cool.
We really enjoyed our stay. Nicely decorated, comfortable rooms with a view of the bay. The staff was great! Very friendly great service. The hotel has a nice pool, comfortable lobby, beautiful grounds in a park setting. We have been coming here a few years, and will definitely return!
Underwhelming… from the description and price I was expecting a more upscale place. This place has roughly the same level of decor and amenities as an economy hotel. The breakfast has the fewest items I’ve seen in a hotel (I travel a lot), basically just cereal, English muffins, and bagels. They were good, but I’m used to more food choices. Don’t get me wrong, it was clean, had a pool, and free breakfast. It was fine… I was just expecting more for the price.
The toilet wouldn't flush & kept making running noises every hour on the hour all night. Not a really clean room the comforter & a pillow were brown/yellow in spots. And the smoke detector didn't have a cover & had no battery which is a serious safety hazard. I mentioned the toilet & smoke detector to the lady at the front desk in the morning (I would have mentioned these issues right away but the hotel was booked full) she just said that maintenance would take care of it but offered us nothing.
When we checked in our room, the sheets on the bed were stained so we ended up moving to a new room. The bathtubs in both rooms were old and worn out. They need to be replaced. The toilets are also old and very low. The glass elevator used to be a lovely feature but the glass was very dirty. The dining room is closed except for special events. Breakfast consisted of bagels, English muffins, yogurt and individual serve cups of cereal served on a table in the lobby. Orange juice and coffee were also available.
I stay at a lot of hotels as a business owner who frequently travels but also travels often with my kids. We made a last minute reservation at The Inn on Maritime Bay and had a great stay. The woman working the desk was so courteous and welcoming that she eased some stress we had coming in after getting a flat tire on the way. It was too late to swim by the time we arrived but my family was grateful to have a cozy room on the third floor. The one room kings are great for those with small kids. The room was spacious and worked great for our needs. The only downfall was that the toilet gave off the sound of a loud train whistle every time it was flushed. With two young kids, you can imagine how frequently I got to hear that. Beyond that detail, the room was great. The next morning we had some bagels and cereal. It advertised breakfast burritos but there were not enough out (one left) for my family of four. I'll be honest that it was a little odd that breakfast was located next to front desk, but while basic, it worked. The pool was a great temperature and the hot tub was relaxing. Kudos to the hotel for having large towels available in the pool area. So great to be able to actually dry off with a substantial towel. My kids loved the arcade on-site. The hotel had a bonus little feature that was cool, a small garage sale type setup from employees and friends in a banquet room. It was fun to check out the treasures! Overall, minus the small recommendations for the toilet/a more prepared breakfast, we would absolutely stay again. We slept well, the beds were comfortable and overall it provided all the amenities I needed as a mom and as a business owner working away from the office. Thank you!
Positive: Room was beautiful & bed was very comfy. Lots of pillows Nice location downtown Negative: Breakfast was a miss. All they had out (@8am) were everything bagels, English muffins, cereal or yogurt. Bathroom was crazy small. Couldn't open door all the way because it hit shower. To close door you had to stand between toilet & sink Negative: ""
I have been coming to the Manitowoc area for 30 years now, and was excited to find this hotel went through an interior upgrade. Well that's mostly true. Yes they did paint, new carpet, furniture and update the bathrooms and also did some updating of the pool area as well. When we went to our room we found hair in the bed, garbage in the waste basket and towels for one person. So we went down the desk and the gentleman (Jory) that checked us in didn't offer to have the bed sheets changed out, and I also had the card of the person that cleaned the room and he said it was his mom and chuckled. So we went back to the room and took the hair and put it in the garbage can. Obviously nothing was going to be done about it. He did in fact get us extra towels and soap. The pool inner walls could have been cleaner and the water intakes that catch hair and debris were brown and discolored. There was a broken light fixture light in the pool, was just floating in the housing. It was a bit disturbing being electric, but I'm sure the power was disabled to it. Also we wanted to use the hot tub and only two of the jets were working so that was sort of a let down. We were notified when I made the reservation that the breakfast was very small, and for what you pay to stay at a location like this I feel is insufficient. At check out I asked who's BMW convertible was parked under the overhang where you unload your car, and I found out it was the General Managers car. I said that was very rude because the car was blocking so many people many times. That person's car is no more special than anyone else's car. Shame on Her! The stay was just okay.

My daughter is truly enjoying classes at Lakeshore Tae Kwon Do. The leadership of Master Weber, Ms Cogswell, Ms Peltier & the other black belts that help the newer students & lower belts is top notch. You couldn't ask for a better group of role model
This is one of the best run CrossFit facilities we have visited, and we've worked out in CrossFit boxes all over the world! They have a great coaching staff- very knowledgeable and capable of scaling a WOD to any fitness level.
This was incredibly cool. Great experience going through and imagining life for those WW2 soldiers. Got to go through the deck and the main floor within the sub including torpedo rooms, sleeping quarters, engine rooms and dining areas. Kept my 3 kids
This is quite the spot for ice cream near Red Arrow Park and Red Arrow Beach. The friendly staffed allowed my wife and I to sample several delicious ice cream flavors. My wife had single scoop the WI Campfire Smores ( Graham flavored ice cream with
One of the best breweries I have visited this year. Friendly staff and a variety of beers. They have something for everyone here! My favorite here was the Gumbskull but The Superior was amazing too. Definitely drop by here if you are nearby.
What a hidden gem! We first heard about these gardens last year, and met up with family on a nice August day here. Itâs not a big area, but absolutely packed with gorgeous flower beds and manicured paths and breathtaking lakefront views. Itâs fre
