The Inn at Soho Square - Hotel in Old Orchard Beach - 36 W Grand Ave, USA

My girlfriend and I were told not to worry about check out times and that we could sleep in late after asking if that’s acceptable or if we should set alarms. We were woken up by some foreigner with no staff ID who opened our door after I didn’t answer his knocking(which turned to banging). Locks were janky, there was only one lock that could definitely be carded and opened. The shower was disgustingly sticky, and the manager at the front desk was very rude. This review is a warning, if you can spare an extra $100 or so for a different stay, I’d recommend it.

I am extremely disappointed! Beware when booking. I booked a room in June for August online. Found out I couldn’t go two days later and called Soho Square directly and spoke with the owner. Micheal, who said he would take care of the cancellation. Apparently that never happened, I just had a phone call from him because we were supposed to apparently check in two days prior since he forgot to cancel it and he was extremely rude and said I never called. It is my fault because I never checked my credit card statement for the refund. Life happens, I guess . Beware when booking is all I can say.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I stayed here early august 2024 and left with bed bug bites, we were greated by the owner when checking in, he was very unprofessional and rude. We got into our room which smelt terrible, trash was left in trash and from previous guests and as i said there was bed bugs. I understand this is a cheap beach hotel but come on. When checking out we explained to the owner that there was bed bugs and the room was gross, he came back at us telling us he would NOT give us a refund because we are trying to steal from small hotels/businesses. As i said, DO NOT STAY HERE

Positive: I loved the staff and the location everyone was super nice and helpful and not their fault at all. Negative: The hotel room was not cleaned prior to us arriving. Sheets had hair, sand, and toenails. Soap was replaced but it was like someone got lazy and tidied it up without actually cleaning it to make it look nice enough to present. Would not stay again.

Great location, everything walking distance. They have coffee in the check in area. Good price for people who are not looking to spend much money on the motels. The other motels are double the price. thanks

Hotel très sale, peu de stationnement et très petit même pour un vus, la douche coulais toujours alors la salle de bain étais toujours pleine d'eau les plancher de bois tout gondolé par les multiple dégâts probablement qui avais eu avant et que parler du bain qui étais dégoûtant et si tu prend ta douche attend toi a plein de variation de température, froid chaud ,le sommier du matelas craque tellement je crois que le voisin tentend si tu te tourne du lit, plancher qui avais probablement été laver à la vas vite car étais plein de sable encore et collant, petit frigo qui n'étais pas froid, les fenêtres qui ne ferme pas à moitier et laissé passer tellement le bruit , la table autant que les chaise et le futon tellement dégueulasse qu'on a jamais oser s'asseoir dessu, jusqu'au rideau inexistant dans une chambre et dans l'autre si tu osais les toucher il te restais dans les mains.... je ne recommande pas du tout , j'y suis rester car j'avais de la famille ailleurs chez qui nous avons plus aller manger se laver et passer le temps , nous nous sommes rendu seulement pour dormir sinon ont aurais canceller....Pour vrai je suis quelqu'un de pas difficile mais la c'était vraiment mais vraiment dégueulasse.

I had to adjust the dates of my trip and reached out to The Inn at Soho Square over a month before my intended visit to request a refund. Despite calling them multiple times and sending emails, I couldn't reach anyone. While I initially wanted to stay at this hotel, the lack of responsiveness compelled me to make reservations elsewhere. It's disappointing that their service fell short of expectations.

Rude owner. Which is surprising for a place with a Canadian flag on it's signage. There are better places to stay.
