This inn is fantastic and perfectly located in downtown Blowing Rock. The evening reception and morning breakfast are wonderful! My wife is from the south and she declares they have the best grits. She is not a morning person and she makes sure she gets up to have the breakfast every time we stay here. Love having the gas fireplaces and fantastic beds. You truly feel like your staying in a resort from the good ole days, from the amazing friendly service to showing you to your room & helping you with your luggage. We so enjoy sitting in the den enjoying the reception with the fireplace going while meeting new & amazing people. The restaurant, "The Best Cellar" is one of the best restaurants in BR and it's in where you are staying. Don't miss staying here, you will totally relax and feel pampered.
My husband and I went at the end of September for our friends wedding reception that was actually being held at The Inn at Ragged Gardens. We cannot rave enough about our stay!! We were one of the last couples to check in due to traffic and they put out extra wine for us (wine and little hors d'oeuvres served early evening for check in)!! The FREE live music on the lawn was awesome and such a fun night (cash bar in the tent). The rooms were absolutely beautiful and our bed was sooooo comfy!! AND THE BREAKFAST, do not sleep on their breakfast (included with your stay)!!!! We are NOT morning people and we got up for breakfast everyday of our stay because it was so yummy! You HAVE to try the grits!! My husband does not like grits (he is from the north hahaha) and he ate half of mine!! The two main gentleman that run the Inn (I have since forgotten their names) were so nice and attentive!! They are super cute and you can tell they love what they do and take pride in it. We will definitely be planning another trip back!! It is too good not to!!
Perfect location in Blowing Rock, walking distance to the whole town. We've been staying here for years, and always truly enjoy our visits. The rooms have recently undergone some minor but valuable updates (there was a drafty window in our room, which has been replaced). Staff are wonderful. Breakfasts are tasty, though I missed the lighter breakfasts they used to offer. We'll hopefully be staying here for years to come.
We had the most wonderful family vacation in Blowing Rock and loved staying here. Our rooms were great — our two BR guest house was warm and immaculate and comfortable. The staff took great care of us the whole time. Breakfast was absolutely FANTASTIC. Kudos to the chef!!! And you really can’t beat the location. We walked downtown every day and loved checking out the shops, coffee houses and reataurants. It was so easy to drive everywhere, including to Boone and other towns (and App Ski Mountain is only 10 minutes away). And there is plenty of parking at the inn when you return. My only wish would be for better wifi. Everything else was perfection. Thank you to all we met on our stay, hope to see you again soon!
From the moment we arrived every detail was over the top! Wine and appetizers in the late afternoon, a lovely suite of rooms all designed for cozy comfort, a porch overlooking the gardens, delicious breakfast with multiple tasty choices, tea and coffee always available are just a few of the things that made our stay perfection. The inn is gorgeous as are the gardens. We had one of the best dinners ever at Best Cellars and now looking forward to next year when we can return to Paradise!
We always get the room with the great deck but this year had a cold snap and forced us inside most days. Loved pulling up the chairs in front of the gas fireplace … what a cozy room. Breakfast as always was great … best grits ever. Love this place. Already booked for next year.
We’ve spent our New Year’s Eve at Ragged Gardens for several years and love it. The accommodations and staff are super. Very close to all of downtown shops and restaurants. All of the other guest are a great group to get to know. AA+
Our time at Ragged Gardens could not have been lovelier! We stayed in the Grandfather Suite, a charming space with a new California King mattress (very comfy) and newly renovated large bathroom. This suite was cozy and filled with everything we needed.|The breakfasts were delicious….and those carrot muffins were so tasty!||We loved it!

Quaint and clean rooms. Very reasonably priced. Awesome location to downtown shopping and eating. A very pleasant experience for your stay in Blowing Rock. Staff cares as they've checked on our well being several times. Top notch.
This is such a beautiful overlook. I wouldnât say itâs the best place to see a sunrise (why we originally went, we saw good sunrise reviews), but itâs still an amazing view. The kids loved it too. Itâs a great overlook to stop by if youâre
Came here multiple times after a drive on the blue ridge parkway. I haven't ever had a good experience with coffee from a coffee truck, but I was pleasantly surprised. Every drink me and my boyfriend tried was amazing! And the price was also really g

Great views! Peaceful. Parking area and a sidewalk to capture stunning views. My photos are doing this area a disservice because the place is gorgeous. There are little cut out areas to capture different views of the area (not shown on my photos). Th

Def not wheelchair accessible so send in a friend...worth the hassle, I promise. Been living off of weak, "necessity" coffee for the past 2.5 days. Nice to finally have found a place that does right by actual cocoa beans and that has some kick. Kaysi
Cute little coffee shop. Loved the dark drip coffee and the barista was spot-on describing the flavor - love going to coffee shops that really know coffee. I also tried the blueberry scone and it wasn't my favorite - it appeared homemade (bonus for
