The Ormsby went all out to welcome guests! We were here visiting the inn as part of the Vermont Country Inns Holiday Tour to support the local food bank. We did not stay over but did have a chance to walk through the inn including some of the guest rooms. The holiday decor was festive and beautiful, definitely a highlight! Several rooms were available for viewing and each was exquisitely lovely! A very generous spread of snacks was also put out for visitors and a local hot fudge vendor was selling his goods. We got great information about the inn and its history. This was a tour highlight and I would LOVE to come and stay here for a romantic get away or a family celebration.
Enjoyed a lovely weekend stay at the Inn, and will certainly return. We stayed in the cozy Ethan Allen room, a great space for one or two people- appointed with a four poster comfortable bed and jetted tub. Breakfast was great, and we appreciated the 24/7 coffee/ tea bar. The decor is gorgeous, and the building is incredible- the history of the inn is a point of interest. Hosts were fantastic and we look forward to being regular visitors.
This is our second time staying at The Inn at Ormsby Hill. The rooms are beautifully appointed and very clean and the beds are super comfortable. The common rooms are warm and inviting, and they have plenty of games and books to relax with in front of the fire. It's especially beautiful during the holidays. The innkeepers are very friendly but also respectful of your privacy. They are clearly experienced in hospitality and understand the importance of maintaining strict housekeeping standards and a "home away from home" ambiance. We'll be back again!
Excellent in every way. Our room was beautiful with high quality bedding with every item needed for a most enjoyable stay. There are small but appreciated items. The first floor area is gorgeous and beautifully decorated for Christmas. The breakfasts are delicious. Jack and MaryAnne are excellent managers. They are very responsive to your every need and show a genuine desire to please their guests.
Absolutely beautiful Inn! So well cared for and spotlessly clean! A bit of old Vermont for you to experience. Maryann and Jack are superb hosts who are friendly and informative. The Inn was decorated for Christmas and was just perfect.|You wil enjoy all of the public and private fireplaces as well as some rooms with spa/whirlpool tubs. The Inn is on Route 7a with easy access to anywhere and right in the shadow of Mount Equinox. Go soon and enjoy your stay!!
The Inn at Ormsby Hill is such a gem! I feel so "treated" whenever staying here, between the luxurious bathtubs, fireplaces (always visible from the bathtub), and fine details of the room. The owners are very kind and responsive. Quaint and beautiful in the winter, and lovely garden plantings in the winter. A long walk into the village of Manchester, but a short drive. I'd highly recommend the Inn for a visit to the Manchester area.
We have been guests, though we feel like family, during each of our stays for the past 23 years. The anticipation of enjoying the outstanding accommodations, cozy atmosphere and sumptuous breakfasts never diminishes . Maryann & Jack are the consummate hosts who strive to ensure your visit is sheer perfection. You must take some time to treat yourself to the Magic that lies within...|
Nothing shy of excellent! From the moment you check in to checking out Jack and MaryAnn make every effort to make your stay pleasant and enjoyable. They see to every detail; from the immaculate and uniquely appointed guest rooms each with its own unique personality to the beautiful grounds with old trees and the small flower gardens named for family and friends, the property is wonderful. The library/sitting room is inviting and relaxing calling you to sink into a comfortable chair and a good read. The breakfast is a delight; perfectly prepared and served in a quaint room looking out over the lanai and backyard. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Thank you for a most memorable portion of our New England adventure.|

Great little respite for the Appalachian and Long Trail hikers on their journey, with excellent value for the price you pay. The staff/owners absolutely respect the hikers' autonomy. They pick you up from the trail and they leave immediately after sh
Went in January to see it frozen and it was absolutely gorgeous! You will definitely need spikes for your boots in the winter. The trail was icy. If it hadn't been icy it would have been very wet and muddy. Rocky, icy, path with some stream crossing
We really really enjoyed this restaurant. My outlaws shared a prime rib. There was a $9 charge, but they received everything I did. The prime rib was cooked to perfection. There were quite a few vegetarian options as well. The drinks were delicious.
I took my wife here for a special date night, sheâs a fairly picky eater and she loved everything we ordered, from appetizer to dessert everything was fantastic. All of their dishes are cooked within their wood fired oven and cast iron pans, and tr
This place is absolutely amazing! The service, food and atmosphere are all 5 stars, I would give more if I could. The lady that cooked my food was VERY careful with my severe dairy allergy. She was very serious and took every precaution possible. I H
Excellent well prepared food and reasonable prices. Exceptionally friendly and accommodating staff. Another plus, the restaurant does not charge junk credit card fees. Will plan on returning.
