Very nice place to stay if you’re traveling thru the area. |Clean comfortable rooms and a wonderful quiet location. (We especially enjoyed the wood burning fireplace in our room w/all supplies provided, a perfect way to end a busy day!) ||We enjoyed the various paths for walking along the river and strolling through the gardens. It was great fun meeting folks who were staying at the Inn during the evening happy hour there in the lodge. ||Having arrived in time for lunch we enjoyed our She Crab soup and amazing salad at the on-site restaurant. |Afterwards we toured the Middleton House and grounds, etc…|Docents did a great job interpreting the history and culture of Middleton Plantation and we appreciated the informative story telling and accurate recognition of those who toiled there and beyond. All in all a wonderful experience.

The room was advertised as a queen or king bed but the bed was a full/double bed. There was also boot prints inside the Soaker tub. The soaker tub had a manual rubber plug that slowly allowed the water to drain. The hot water took about 10minutes to actually become warm. The room did not feel clean. There were cleaning supplies left in the room. Spiders above the bed. The Keurig inside the room was clean and water dispensed was nice and clean but only decaf coffee was stocked and tea. No creamers.|Overall the room was not very inviting or spacious for the price. The outside of the room and surrounding grounds were very unkept and untidy. There was a swiffer mop that was outside the room for the duration we were there. The walk to the restaurant is pleasant but beware walking it at night. It is a gravel path but not very well lit. It would be nice if they offered a flashlight to use during your stay, especially when evening dining, as they offer an umbrella in case of rain. The restaurant service was great, wonderful food and attentive service. The experience at best would be rated OK. The price of the room did not reflect the quality. For the same price, you could stay downtown with more dining options, more atmosphere and better quality in a room.

Had an absolutely fabulous weekend at Middleton Place. We spent two nights and three days enjoying the grounds, restaurant and our GRAND room. On Saturday evening we skipped Happy Hour at the Lodge as we had dinner reservations at 6:00. So we enjoyed walking over to the restaurant for a romantic dinner with an awesome view. The food options, drinks and service was great. After dinner we took a walk around the grounds and enjoyed seeing all the wildlife. We got back to our room just in time to watch the sunset over the Ashley River. We skipped breakfast at The Boathouse on Sunday morning and slept in since our room was so quiet and peaceful. Plus we were excited to walk back over the the restaurant to try out the new BRUNCH menu. Again the food, service and views were appreciated. Walking the grounds is our favorite thing to do and there is so much to see. Can’t wait for our next stay

Exceeded expectations. We arrived at 5pm and went straight to the lounge for Happy Hour hors d’oeuvres and craft cocktails. With glasses in hand we walked the enchanting lighted pathway through the garden to the Middleton restaurant about 10 minutes away. We had dinner there, refilled our glasses and journeyed back to the lounge where they were now serving Port wine as a nightcap. We sat mesmerized at the serenity overlooking the river for what seemed like an eternity.||Our room was lovely complete with fireplace and rain shower. Breakfast at the lake house is included with the room rate but we skipped the meager provisions and opted to walk back to the restaurant for brunch. Great decision, the grounds were buzzing with costumed interpreters, grazing livestock and gorgeous gardens taking us back in time. Time well spent.

The Middleton Inn is located at the Middleton plantation, and the grounds are absolutely spectacular. We are used to staying in a B&B so the architecture and room were a little more modern than we are used to, but it was beautiful. We did let them know that they needed to Replace the Keurig and the coffee cups were not clean when we arrived. With that said, everything else was amazing. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, tours a Middleton Place were included, except for horseback riding and the museum tour. The continental breakfast in the morning is in the Lake House a short walk from our room. If you are looking for quiet and serene stay with beautiful opportunities for walks and rest, this place is for you! just know that you’re about a 25 minute drive from Charleston if you want a nice selection of places to eat. We will definitely stay again and were happy with our choice.

loved the grounds and the rooms. the breakfast was the only negative - packaged foods. the staff said they're undergoing renovations and plan to get back to a tastier breakfast soon. we had lunch at the restaurant- it's mostly southern (fried) food but the salads were great.

Excellent accommodations. Continental breakfast not the best but it's ok. Lots of sand on the grounds and we had to ask that our room be vacuumed because we tracked so much in. Other than that, everything was clean. Very, very quiet and we loved our room. If you don't want to climb stairs, request a room on the first floor.

Love this place but won’t visit again. The “continental breakfast” is in fact not very continental anymore, and the quality worsened from the last time I was here. The little things like the Middleton place water bottles were swapped for standard boxed waters. They gave us less firewood. The price increased by over $100. Still a beautiful place and worth experiencing but disappointed to see decreasing quality.

Room was very dated but not historical. Furnishings and fittings are from the 1980’s. Room was very dark. Noise was awful- we were on the ground floor and had noise from front desk and lobby all day. Could hear talking neighbors very clearly. Paid
