We stayed here as part of our 10 year wedding anniversary trip and it was fantastic!!! The house is beautiful, and the room was set up perfectly! The bed was comfortable, fully stocked higher end mini bar, the heated floors in the bathroom, and the shower was amazing. Also the staff was friendly and super helpful. We had breakfast delivered to our room and it was delicious. I had the eggs Benedict, and my wife had the avocado toast. Both were served with what I assumed was fresh squeezed orange juice!
I reserved the Freemason Suite for my son and his wife's wedding night. The staff were very professional, communicative, and accommodating. They went above and beyond to help make it a night the newlyweds will remember forever! My son said they both relished their savory breakfast and greatly appreciated having it served in their room so they could continue to enjoy their privacy. My DIL raved about the luxurious accommodations and romantic atmosphere. They have both traveled the world and stayed in some of the fanciest hotels around the globe. But they both agree that Four Eleven York provides an intimate experience that just can't be matched. In fact, they plan on celebrating their 1st anniversary in the Freemason Suite!
We stayed for one night in April, pairing this with a visit to the Chrysler Museum. I could run out of space describing all the many touches and wonderful moments during this short stay at Four Eleven York so here are highlights. Wonderful greeting by staff upon arrival, followed by an offer of Prosecco once in our room. The renovation of this house is meticulous, thoughtful and beautiful throughout, as are the design details and furnishings.The availability of parking and location of the property allowed for easy walks to the River Trail and several neighborhoods. The breakfast was filling and delicious. We had the pleasure of chatting with Malia, the host and owner, during our breakfast and she is personable, skilled and experienced in all facets of the inn. Highly recommend!
Our experience during our stay was truly exceptional. The innkeepers exhibited remarkable attentiveness and kindness, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere throughout the entire inn. Our accommodation in the Magnolia Suite exceeded expectations, particularly the luxurious bathroom amenities. The multiple shower heads, indulgent soaking tub, and heated floors were all features I now aspire to have in my own home someday. Without hesitation, I highly recommend this establishment to anyone visiting Norfolk or seeking a relaxing staycation.

Sometimes pictures are not as advertised. That's not the case here. We enjoyed personal attention that you won't find in the large hotel chains. Can't wait to visit again

The owner of 411 called me a few days after reading my review. I appreciated the call and her empathy toward our experience! It seemed like she genuinely cared. She did refund our meal and hoped that we would come back. We'll probably give it another go! The cocktails were pretty good!

Disappointed. We received a gift card to this restaurant from a dear friend. I wanted to like this place (the restaurant), but about a year ago I made a reservation and had to cancel. They don't use Open Table but instead a different service for reservations. If/when you cancel you are charged a $10 fee regardless if you cancel in advance. So again we tried to go a few weeks ago. The gift card was expired (also dumb), but we brought it with us anyways. I know its a small, family owned establishment, but come on. Their menu is a bit over priced in my opinion for what you get. Portions are small and food did not have much flavor. To top it off, they refused to honor the gift card because it was expired. Expired because life happens. And life as a parent with two very young kids makes it tough to get out. Last time I'll be going there and I would not recommend it. The owners clearly don't really care about their clientele.

We came to the Open Studio and all had so much fun! Most painted from one of the MANY samples. I did a paint pouring. No instruction, but help when we needed it. Great facility and wonderful owner. We will definitely be returning!!
