When we go to stay for a night away, the details are everything, and the Inn at Court Square has absolutely nailed the details! The owners both greeted us and were so welcoming and accommodating. We were a little late for check in, but they still took all the time to show us around, get us a complimentary glass of wine by the fire, and a little snack. We stayed in the Butler room and it was absolutely stunning, comfy bed, and loved the 2 person tub! The breakfast the next morning by their in house chef was delicious. I can't recommend staying here enough, you won't be disappointed!
Husband booked this Inn for a date where the weather would be uncooperative. Candace was able to move our day and we enjoyed 2 lovely days here. We were shown several rooms and given a choice (some had an upgrade), but we chose the one with the large shower instead of the tub/shower combo. Were offered a lovely glass of wine and Pat made the most amazing breakfasts! It was a lovely stay and the Inn was wonderful.
Not cheap, but totally worth it. The buildings are beautifully restored with very nice antique furniture and decor. A delicious three-course breakfast is included that is prepared by talented chefs. We were celebrating our anniversary and this was the perfect experience.
My wife and I booked a stay for 12/2/23. We arrived on schedule and were met by the owner, who was wonderful. She was a Very Gracious Hostess, walked us around and gave us some history about the place. Room was awesome, breakfast was Awesome. She even helped find my wife a place to stay for 3 months for travel nursing. Will definitely stay again. If your looking for a weekend get away in Charlottesville, this is your spot!!!!
What a lovely stay in Charlottesville! Just a perfect getaway with friends to celebrate a very special birthday. We booked the Brewton Suite with a peaceful living room to provide a little space when my husband needed to work a bit & a king size bed that was oh so comfortable. The private bath has a luxurious 2 person shower with lovely toiletries. Our group of friends were right at home enjoying leisure cups of coffee & conversation with our tasty breakfast. The marinated tomatoes & cottage cheese with balsamic drizzle complimented my rich & sweet bread pudding. Many of my friends had the homemade quiche, so I was sure to have a bite. Incredible! The service was impeccable from the breakfast to excursion suggestions to my favorite chocolate shortbread cookies available at all times! The inn is located in the perfect spot to walk to the Downtown Mall, delicious restaurants, & wine shops. Monticello & Carter's Mountain are short drives away. A group of us walked the Saunders-Monticello Trail & enjoyed spectacular views. Just can't compliment the Inn enough for such a wonderful stay. Perfect spot to share time with special friends!
The Inn at Court Square is the perfect place to celebrate anything! The owner, Candace, and her brother Michael were superb hosts, and the room accommodations were phenomenally appointed with both comfortable linens and beautiful decor. They made us feel so at home, but elevated! I look forward to returning and hopefully soon. Fall is so beautiful in Virginia!
The Inn At Court Square is centrally located in Charlottesville and while we had not major problems, it was incredibly over-priced for both the value and accommodation quality. That said, the food at breakfast was some of the best breakfast we have had at an inn or B&B.
We paid a 30% seasonally discounted rate of $359 plus taxes for one night in the Susannah Fowler room. Upon arrival, there was Arabic music blaring as we walked into a quaint colonial sitting room and it was apparent the person hired to check us in was either not well trained or well prepared to welcome guests. Her boyfriend had taken up residence on the front couch and was clearly her focus. She offered wine, but then had us go into the kitchen to pull it out of the fridge to pour because she cannot touch the wine bottles. Then she gave us our key and left for the evening.
The room itself is fine, but there is no way to control the temperature. As a result, my wife and I were essentially baked to a near slow death overnight with the temperature reaching near 80 degrees. The windows were of no use as they appear to have not been open since the 18th century, and the pancake flat pillows were definitely exemplary of the colonial period, but not conducive to comfort. So while we benefited from some form of dehydrating cleanse, we slept not a wink.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The quiche is exquisitely done and each of the breakfast offerings was incredibly prepared and presented.
If I could stay somewhere else and come for the breakfast, that would be ideal. Of all the accommodation offerings in Charlottesville, I'd look long and hard at alternatives before choosing The Inn at Court Square unless you consider what I've described great value for the discounted rate of $359.
We have been going to Charlottesville annually for many years and always stay at the Inn at Court Square. Quiet beautiful setting and only 2 blocks from the Downtown Mall. Best B&B ever. Look forward to breakfast each year, the best Quiche I have ever eaten! The owners, staff, (and Pat🥰) are amazing. Can’t wait to return next year.

We needed a little staycation for our anniversary between lots of Christmas events we couldnât miss. So my husband surprised me with a night at the Clifton.
The carriage house was lovely! They arranged to have a gorgeous flower bouquet in the room
Stayed for three nights. Breakfast was late every day and pretty bad. Not one housekeeper brought me fresh towels. The building itself is nice, but the staff seem like homeless people just hanging out and not doing a thing.
Cleanest hotel rooms Iâve seen in a LONG time. Absolutely wonderful as far as being neat and clean. The front desk service was great and the breakfast was good.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Smyrna and I can say without a doubt it was one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. From start to finish, every aspect of the evening was exceptional. The food of course was delicious!
We returned to Foxfield Inn for first time in three years and were even more impressed than before. I booked a surprise weekend stay for my wife's birthday, along with some family members, and it felt as if we were returning to a family homestead. Su
Been going here for about 8 years now. Itâs grown quite a bit over the past coupleâs years. We usually come in the summer for peach picking and itâs always a great time. Views are amazing, cider and donuts are delicious.

Iâm surprised I didnât find this place sooner. Itâs in the cut so you have to look for it, but man is it worth it. I got a latte with almond milk, and it was incredibly smoot
Great spot, ample parking, open glass and space, not over crowded, the coffee house knows how to deliver amazing latte and mochas. The pastry is top notch. If this was close to university Iâd come everyday. All the great vibes come at no extra char
